12 months ago I did a cover class, 6am Thursday morning
What a wonderful 12 months it's been. Seeing the regular students progressing through movements and overcoming fears of being inverted, finding balance and peace.

Mantra meditation.
Repetition of sacred mantras help calm the body and still the mind.

I remember a time some twenty years ago I was told some news that upset me, I didn't know how to process the news because it was my first experience with these emotions. My dad asked me what's wrong, he said I looked like I'd run someone over with my car. I told him what had just happened and he related a similar story he had experienced when he was my age. Having practiced mantra meditation for over 30 years himself at this time he suggested we do some mantra meditation. At first I could hardly repeat the mantras, but after a little while my breathing became regulated and I felt calmer and relaxed and was able to breathe deeply and repeat the mantras.
