👑 Why "King of the Court"?

Just to clear something up… King of the Court is NOT about crowning Andrew as the best player in our group! 😄

It's simply a fun game format where everyone gets the chance to climb the courts, play against different players, and challenge ourselves against stronger opponents. The real goal is to learn, improve, and have fun together.

We jokingly call Andrew the "King" because he's one of our stronger players at the moment—not because he's above anyone else.

What makes his story inspiring is that Andrew only took up pickleball not long ago, just like many of us. Even in his 50s, he has shown that age is no barrier to learning and improving. Through patience, smart play, and a willingness to keep learning, he's developed into a very strong player.

Even better, Andrew is always happy to share what he's learned. He freely offers tips, encourages others, and helps everyone improve together.

So the "King" isn't someone to worship—he's a reminder of what we can all become with the right attitude. We're not just playing against a king; we're learning from a great role model.

Who knows? With enough practice, the next King (or Queen) of the Court could be you! 👑🏓😄

🌧️🏓 Friday Night 12 June 26 Pickleball Recap 🏓🌧️

Last night's special session made up for our washed-out Wednesday, and what a night it turned out to be!

It was our first time playing at the Emerald Pickleball Club. At 6:00 PM it was still raining, and a few members were wondering, "Should I go or should I stay?" 🤔☔

Thankfully, the rain stopped around 6:15 PM, and a huge shout-out to our court caretaker, Kevin, for helping dry the courts so we could get started by 6:30 PM. 👏

The best part? Everyone kept the faith and turned up! 💪 The positive spirit was awesome, the games were full of laughs, and everyone had a fantastic time.

Playing on dedicated professional pickleball courts was definitely worth spending a couple of extra dollars. Great courts, great company, and a great night of pickleball! 😎🏓

🚨 【匹克球规则小学堂｜新手必看！4 大重点让你一秒看懂匹克球基本规则】

刚接触匹克球的你，是不是常被场上一些独特的规则搞得晕头转向？「什么时候可以截击？」、「分数那三个数字到底怎么喊？」
别担心！今天团队为大家准备了一张「匹克球基本规则大补帖」，只要掌握这 4 个核心观念，包你立刻搞懂规则，打球更顺、更上手！

🎾 【01 发球规则：温柔的开局】
• 动作限制：必须采「低手发球」，击球点必须低于腰部，且拍头不能高于手腕。
• 落点规定：发球必须斜线发到对角的发球区内。
👉 Tips：如果觉得抛球不好抓节奏，也可以合法使用「落地发球 (Drop Serve)」，让球自然落下弹起后再击球喔！

🔁 【02 双弹规则 (Two-Bounce Rule)：匹克球的灵魂】

这是匹克球最特别的规定！
• 第一弹 frist bounce!：发球过去后，接发球方必须让球「落地弹起一次」才能回击。
• 第二弹 second bounce!：球回到发球方时，发球方也必须让球「落地弹起一次」才能击打。
👉 完成这「两次弹跳」后，双方就可以自由选择要空中截击，还是等球弹起再打了！

🍳 【03 非截击区 / 厨房 (Non Volley Zone)：网前的楚河汉界】

球网两侧延伸 7 呎的前区域就是俗称的「厨房」Kitchen。
• 绝对不可在厨房内或踩着厨房线进行「截击（不落地直接击球）」。
• 特别注意：就算是合法截击完，若因为身体「惯性」不小心踩进厨房或踩线，一样算犯规失分！
👉 记住口诀：球没落地，脚不进厨房！但如果球已经在厨房内落地弹起，你绝对可以大方走进去处理！

🔢 【04 计分方式：神秘的三个数字】

• 得分条件：只有「发球方」才能得分。接发球方赢下该回合时，只能取得「发球权 (Side Out)」，不会得分。
• 报分顺序：每次发球前都要喊出三个数字 👉【我方分数 - 对方分数 - 第几发球员】。例如「7 - 4 - 1」。
• 赛制：一般比赛采 11 分制，且必须连赢 2 分 (Win by 2) 才算获胜。

🏓King of the Court (KOTC) 👑
is one of the most popular pickleball social formats because it keeps everyone moving, mixes players around, and naturally creates competitive games. The basic idea is simple: win and move up, lose and move down.

Basic Setup
Number the courts:
Court 1 = 👑 King's Court (top court)
Court 2 = next level
Court 3 = next level
And so on.
Put players on each court.

Play short games (for example:
First to 11 points, or 11 minute timed games

After Each Game
Winners:
Move up one court.
If already on Court 1, they stay and defend the crown.
Losers:
Move down one court.

🏓 Pickleball「擂台王（King of the Court）」玩法
「擂台王」是匹克球社交活动中非常受欢迎的赛制，因为大家都能持续打球、认识不同球友，同时又带有竞争乐趣。
简单来说：赢家升场，输家降场。

基本设置
将球场依实力由高到低编号：
👑 1号场：擂台王球场（最高场）
🥈 2号场：第二级球场
🥉 3号场：第三级球场
以此类推……
每个球场安排 4 位球员进行双打。

每轮比赛
可采用：
先得 11 分获胜；或限时 11 分钟。

比赛结束后：
✅ 获胜队伍
升上一个球场。
如果已在 1 号场，则继续留在擂台接受挑战。
✅ 落败队伍
降下一个球场。
