Josh's baseball journey started in 2001 as a six-year-old in our T-Ball program with the Jets.

He progressed through our junior ranks, represented South Australia at Under 14 and Under 16 level.

A member of our 2011-12 Division 2 Premiership team, Josh made his Division 1 debut the following season.

He went on to receive back-to-back Club Player of the Year awards in 2018-19 and 2019-20.

In 2026, Josh was also presented with Playing Life Membership in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the club.

400 games for one club is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Josh's loyalty and passion for GGCD Baseball Club.

Congratulations, Josh, on reaching this incredible milestone! 💙❤️⚾

700 Games – Gavin Payne #4 ⚾

Our next milestone this weekend belongs to Gavin Payne who will celebrate his 700th game tomorrow!

A member of GGCD Baseball Club since its formation in 1990, Gav began his baseball journey through the North East Primary School Competition and has been a big part of the club ever since.

A Playing Life Member, Life Member and twice named Club Person of the Year, Gav has also dedicated countless hours off the field, serving 14 years on the Committee and Board in roles including Director of Equipment, House and Grounds and most recently, Chairperson.

To make the occasion even more special, Gav will take the diamond alongside his daughter Mikyla and his son Eliot.

Gav, thank you for your dedication and commitment to GGCD over the years. You have played a huge part in shaping our club into what it is today.
