Golden Grove Central Districts Baseball Club

GGCD is excited to welcome back our import player Daniel Youngblood II, aka “DY”, for the 2026–27 season.

A powerful offensive player, DY played for GGCD during the 2024–25 SABL season and has also competed across college and international baseball leagues, bringing strength and experience to our Division 1 squad.

We are thrilled to have DY back around the club and can’t wait to see him back in the Dodgers uniform, making his mark on the season ahead.

GGCD BASEBALL IS BACK!!!
After a thoroughly enthusiastic and enjoyable Junior Academy we are now ready to begin the fun with the commencement of the 2026/27 Summer baseball season.
Forecasting a team list of 2 x U18, 2 x U16, 2 x U14, 3 x U12 and 3 x U10 teams we will likely boast the largest contingent of Junior teams in the competition this season. We will be using the next few weeks to run squad trainings to begin with followed by team selections and individual team trainings and coaching announcements. See the flyer for pre season trainings times as it stands currently.

***REMINDER*** your child is not currently covered by insurance (due to changes in the insurance structure organised by Baseball Australia) so if this concerns you get registering for the 2026/27 season!!

What a great start to the Women’s Baseball Pre-Season! It was fantastic to welcome some new faces alongside our returning players.

Plenty of energy, enthusiasm and baseball to kick things off — we’re looking forward to building on it over the coming weeks! 💙⚾️

Want to improve your baseball scoring skills? We will be holding Scoring Clinics for Beginners, Level 1 & Level 2.

Lachie brings valuable Division 1/2 experience and has proudly represented South Australia at both the U16 and U18 levels.

DEAKIN FILKO & FAMILY! 💙⚾️

We are thrilled to welcome Deakin Filko and his family to the GGCD Baseball Club for the 2026–27 season!

Deakin has already built an impressive baseball resume proudly representing South Australia and Australia at both the U16 and U18 levels, including the 2025 U18 World Cup.

Most recently, Deakin made his debut for the Adelaide Giants, another exciting milestone in his already outstanding career.

We can't wait to see Deakin in Dodgers colours and are excited to watch him make his mark this season.

We’re kicking off the 2026/27 season with 4 action-packed Sundays of skills, fun, and community!
Venue: Illyarrie Reserve, Surrey Downs
Dates: Sundays 26th July - 16th August
Time: u10-u12 10:00am – 1200am (arrive by 9.45am)
u14-u16 1230pm - 230pm. (arrive by 12.15pm)
Open to all players born in Calendar years 2011-16.
What’s Included?
Drills & mechanics with experienced coaches
BBQ lunch – 2 free sausages & a drink
Sandlot games for all skill levels
