🏁 Muscle Car Masters Wrap Up 🏁

A fantastic weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park. The Es**rt was really on song all weekend, apart from a gearbox issue on Friday the car ran fast and faultlessly all weekend.

Today saw two races starting 21st in the handicap race we worked our way through to 14th in the 5 lap race. We lined up 8th on the grid for the last race this afternoon and brought it home 6th.

To top it all of we finished 1st in class for the weekend and was the first non V8 or 6 cylinder home in every outright race. Considering the quality of the field and the number of big V8’s around us I’m pretty bloody happy with this result on a fast flowing track like SMP.

A huge thanks to Macri Motors Race Preparation and Restoration for all their help and to the family for helping out over the weekend and being trackside.

Two races today with the first being a handicap race (effectively reverse grid) starting out of P21 should be fun!

Finished 9th battling for 8th, just need a couple more cylinders down the straight 😅

Race 2 - coming up, under lights at 7.55pm

Car was an absolute pleasure to drive and with clear space we could demonstrate it!

Race 1 at 3.15, let’s see how many V8’s we keep behind us in the race.

🏁 Muscle Car Masters | Sydney Motorsport Park 🏁

This weekend we're back on track this weekend in the Es**rt at the 2026 Apex Steel Muscle Car Masters at Sydney Motorsport Park

We'll be lining up against a huge field of more than 35 Historic Touring Cars, all mixed together on the grid. It might be a challenge matching the outright pace of the big V8 muscle cars, but we'll do our best to keep them honest and make them work for every position!

One of the highlights of the weekend will be racing under lights on Saturday night, should make for a great atmosphere and some great viewing and racing.

If you can't make it to the track, there is expected to be a live stream available. I'll share the details as soon as they're confirmed.

Otherwise, come out and enjoy one of Australia's best historic motorsport events. There'll be some incredible classic touring cars, and even better, you'll get to hear them doing what they were built to do.

Back on the podium in Winton🏆

Ripper weekend with great results and the car was a jet! Was fun to be dicing in such a close pack all weekend, times were so close between all drivers.

Saturday started well, having the fastest lap in Race 1 and grabbing 3rd in the arvo feature race.

Then to top it all off today with more good results we finished P3 for the round and ended up on the podium.

We have now also moved up into 3rd in the championship after this weekend with 2 more rounds to go!

Round 4 RX8 Cup SeriesDay 1 done.

A solid day and some great results 🙌

Qualified fourth, just a couple of tenths separated the top 5 cars.

Race 1 - car was seriously hooked up and ran 3rd, but a post race penalty for another competitor saw us officially 2nd

Race 2 - a good start off the front row, made a small error and dropped a couple of spots but managed to get back to third. Lost a little bit of pace in the last one, but have tuned the 27 up tonight and feeling confident for Race 3 tomorrow morning.

We're back at Winton Motor Raceway this weekend for Round 4 of the RX8 Cup Series.
