The Irish Draught and Sport Horse Society of Australia Inc. was inaugurated in May 1989. To this end, the Society keeps a Stud Book and a Register.
The role of the Society is to promote and preserve the Irish Draught and Irish Sport Horse in Australia. The objectives of the Society are:
* To assist in the preservation of the purebred Irish Draught Horse.
* To maintain an Irish Draught Stud Book with high standards of breeding, conformation, quality and soundness by a process of inspection and registration by a nominated panel of assessors a
