Greensborough Football Club would like to wish all the fathers, grandfathers and those who play the role of a father within our community a very Happy Father’s Day.

A special Happy Father’s Day to the dads and father figures who play such an important and active role in the lives of our players.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have such a talented and respectful group of young men representing our football club. Behind so many of them are fathers and father figures who have provided guidance, encouragement, support and countless hours helping them become the people and footballers they are today.

We’d also like to take a moment to remember the fathers and father figures who are sadly no longer with us. We know today can bring back many special memories, and they will always remain an important part of our families, our club and our community. 💚🤍

We hope you all have a wonderful Father’s Day surrounded by those closest to you.

And what better way to spend the afternoon than at Cramer Street, cheering on our Boro boys in a massive day of finals football!

What a night at the Boro!

Last night, the Greensborough Football Club had the pleasure of welcoming our U16 Premiership Team to the senior club for dinner following their fantastic Grand Final victory on the weekend.

🏆

It was a great opportunity to congratulate the boys on an outstanding achievement and celebrate the reward for all the hard work they’ve put in throughout the season.

But the night was about much more than celebrating a premiership.

These young men represent the future of the Greensborough Football Club.

Over the next couple of years, many of these boys will begin making the transition from junior football into our senior program, and we want that transition to feel as natural as possible. Bringing them into the rooms, having dinner together and allowing them to experience the senior club environment is an important part of that journey.

Our junior and senior clubs share more than just the Greensborough name and jumper — we share a pathway.

The faces sitting around those tables last night are the faces we hope to see representing our Under 19s, Development and Senior teams in the years ahead.

Keeping our young players connected to the Boro and giving them a genuine pathway from junior football through to senior football is incredibly important to the future of our club.

Congratulations again to our U16 Premiers on a brilliant season and a fantastic Grand Final victory.

Enjoy the moment, boys — you’ve earned it.
