⚾ WOMEN’S 2026 SEASON WRAP ⚾

It wasn’t the result we were hoping for today, with our Monty Chicks going down 14–10 to Knox in the Preliminary Final.

But what a season it has been. ❤️

The Women have taken another huge step forward in 2026, putting together their best season yet and finishing 2nd on the ladder with an impressive:

🔥 12 Wins | 4 Losses | 2 Draws

That’s a massive improvement from 2025, where the team finished with 7 wins, 9 losses and 1 draw,

And the numbers tell another great story…

⚾ 2025 Runs For & Against: 252–238
⚾ 2026 Runs For & Against: 246–159

That 159 runs against is a fantastic reflection of just how much this team’s defence has improved. 💪

From the first pitch of the season to today, the growth, determination and belief in this group has been incredible to watch.

While today’s result hurts a little, there is so much to be proud of.

To our players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters — thank you for being part of the journey and for getting behind the girls every step of the way. 🖤🤍

The season may be over, but this team is only getting started.

We can’t wait to see you all back in 2027 for another great season of Monty Women’s baseball! ⚾🔥

❤️⚾ HAPPY FATHER’S DAY FROM MONTY BASEBALL⚾❤️

Today, we celebrate the dads who give so much more than just their time.

The dads who are there before everyone else, setting up the grounds.

The dads who stay behind to pack everything away.

The dads who coach, umpire, score, throw BP and lend a hand at training.

The dads who spend their evenings driving to and from training, making sure their kids never miss a moment.

The dads who stand on the sidelines on game day, cheering, encouraging and supporting — win or lose.

And the dads who quietly step in whenever they’re needed, often without ever asking for recognition.

You might think you’re just helping out at baseball, but to your kids, you’re doing so much more.

You’re giving them your time.
You’re teaching them about teamwork, commitment and resilience.
You’re creating memories they’ll carry with them long after their playing days are over.

Years from now, they may not remember every score or every game…

…but they’ll remember Dad was there.❤️

To all the incredible dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures who make up our Monty Baseball family — thank you for everything you do.

We see it. We appreciate it. And we’re incredibly grateful.

⚾ WOMEN’S FINALS WEEKEND WRAP-UP

It wasn’t the result our GMBC Women’s Team were hoping for, going down 16-4 to La Trobe Uni on Sunday at Ross Straw Field.

Playing at Ross Straw Field for the first time, the girls gave it a crack and showed plenty of fight against the team that finished top of the ladder.

Liz got us on the board in the first inning, while Ivy, Summa, Emma and Stacy each picked up a hit.

There were plenty of positives to take from the game, with the girls showing great patience at the plate, earning 7 walks, and putting pressure on the defence with an impressive 11 stolen bases. 💪

It may not have been our day, but the girls can be proud of the way they competed and of everything they’ve achieved this season ... but we’re not done yet! 🔥

The team have another shot as the take on Knox next weekend in the Preliminary Final.

Keep fighting, ladies. Let’s go Monty!

⚾ MONTY FINALS WEEKEND WRAP-UP ⚾

What a weekend of heart, fight and finals baseball for Monty. 🖤🤍❤️

There were incredible highs, heartbreaking lows and plenty of moments that showed exactly what it means to wear the Monty pinstripes. Finals baseball is tough — and while the result didn’t go our way for a couple of teams, we couldn’t be prouder of the effort, belief and determination shown on the field.

🔴 A GRADE
💔 A heartbreaking 7-3 loss to North Balwyn brings their season to an end. It was a hard-fought, competitive game that could have gone either way. While the result hurts, the boys should hold their heads high and be incredibly proud of the season they’ve had. ❤️

⚫ A RESERVES
💔 Another incredibly tight one, going down 4-3 to Heathmont. A fantastic battle from start to finish, with the boys leaving absolutely everything on the field. It wasn’t our day, but what a season. 🖤

👏 A Grade & A Reserves — congratulations on an outstanding season. You represented Monty with pride, commitment and plenty of heart. We’re so proud of you all!

WALK-OFF WIN! 💥
What a finish! A3 came from behind to defeat Knox 7-6 in an absolute finals thriller! The boys showed incredible fight and belief to get it done when it mattered most.

A4 got the job done against Heathmont with a win. A well earned battle! 13-12💪 The finals journey continues next weekend — keep the momentum rolling!

E Grade went down 9-4 to Port Melbourne, but the season isn’t over yet! 🔥 Another chance awaits next weekend against La Trobe. Time to dig deep and fight for another week!
