🏆 STEIGEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK!

Congratulations to senior athlete Gaelyne Kenshole for winning the Steigen Athlete of the Week Award in our first week of AVSL!

W55-59 Gaelyne posted an impressive 1200 points in round 1!
Courtesy of breaking the club record with her 2.85m pole vault, this eclipses her record from the 50-55 age group as well. She backed that up with an 8.63m triple jump, only centimetres from her own club record set in August. Throw in a good shot put, and you have a pretty amazing day! She outscored her daughter Elyssia (1129 points) to be DV’s highest-ranked athlete. Gaelyne is coached by Bill Georgantas (PV) and Husband Tony, for the rest.

Steigen Apparel ( )have kindly supplied a pair of Steigen socks and a visor/cap valued at $52.95, to the athlete adjudged the best athlete/clubperson for each round of the AVSL season! The committee has the unenviable task of selecting a winner for each round based on performance achievement and sportsmanship.

Congratulations Gaelyne! Who will be next??
