We planned to grab some photos from Saturday night at the Grong Grong Sports Club but the rubber had to hit the road fast!

Thank you Grong Grong for having us. Well over 200 people attended the Grong Grong Star picnic.

We sold 150 sausages sangas and around 70 steak sangas.

The other community clubs served a load of camp oven dishes as well!

Thank you to our helpers. Grace Mannion and Donna McPherson. Also a huge shout out to Debbie and Mick Mannion for driving down from Temora to help us.

Coolamon Butchery for churning out extra snags last minute when we got wind of how big this show was going to be! Ganmain Bakery, 2 pallets of bread nearly wasn’t enough but it got the job done!

We heard so many amazing stories of stars and sky, travel and bravery and ordinary folks in an extraordinary world

🌟 TOMORROW NIGHT AT GRONG GRONG! 🌟

The Grong Grong Star Picnic is on tomorrow night from 6:00pm at the Grong Grong Sports Club & Golf Course!

We’ll be on the BBQ keeping everyone fed, alongside other local clubs firing up their camp ovens. 🔥🌭

There’ll be games for the kids, stargazing with Wagga Observatory, and plenty happening throughout the night.

Plus, check out the flyer below for this year’s special guest — Associate Professor Alice Gorman, joining the night for fireside talks on space, archaeology and what lies beyond Earth. 🔭🌙

We wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation for a local business that continues to show up for the Ganmain Cricket Club — Coolamon Butchery

The team at Coolamon Butchery have been long-term supporters of our club, and their contribution genuinely helps keep us on the field each season.

A huge part of our fundraising comes from our raffles at the Royal Hotel Grong Grong and community BBQs, and we simply couldn’t do it without businesses like Coolamon Butchery and the Grongy pub getting behind us.

If you haven’t popped in to see the team at Coolamon before, make sure you do! The quality of their meat is one of Rorz’s special interest topics, so if you’ve got half an hour spare, just ask him about it. 😂🥩

I was lucky enough to snag the Marrar Kitchen & Co. voucher at our Christmas raffles last year. It didn’t go to waste!

Nothing beats a Sunday roast!
