🌟 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO COOKIE! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to announce that our very own Bowls Coordinator, James “Cookie” Cook, has been named a finalist for the 2026 Bowls NSW Club Administrator of the Year!

Cookie’s passion, dedication and commitment to growing bowls at Gwandalan is second to none. From supporting our members and volunteers to welcoming new players and coordinating major events, he gives so much to our club and the wider bowls community.

This recognition is thoroughly deserved, and we couldn’t be prouder to see Cookie representing Gwandalan Bowling Club among this year’s outstanding finalists.

The winner will be announced at the Bowls NSW Awards Night on Thursday, 29 October at Wenty Leagues.

A new sporting opportunity is coming to Gwandalan! 🙌

Our Junior Bowls Academy is open to young people aged 10+, offering a fun and affordable way to get active, learn new skills and become part of our club community.

With free junior membership, free green fees and club bowls provided, getting started couldn’t be easier.

Come along to our registration days on Saturday 7 or Sunday 8 November from 2pm–4pm.

THIS is what weekends at Gwandalan are made for! 🙌

🎸 Friday night, Brent Murphy is taking over the stage from 6:30pm–10:30pm with four hours of live music to kick-start your weekend.

🌿 Saturday morning, slow things down with FREE Tai Chi on the Gwandalan Foreshore from 8am. Fresh air, waterfront views and the perfect way to start your day.

🎶 Then Aaron James Stevenson wraps up the weekend with Sunday tunes from 1:30pm–5:30pm.

We’ve packed two massive days with live music, great food, family entertainment and plenty of fun.

🍺 Saturday, 3 October – Oktoberfest from 1pm
Enjoy a live six-piece German Oompah band, German-inspired food, selected b**r specials and face painting.

🎸 Sunday, 4 October – Rock on the Green from 12pm
A full day of live music featuring UV Ultra Violet, Onshore, Mojo Gogo and headline act Early Daze - plus face painting, a jumping castle, roving magician and lawn games for the kids.
