🏆💚🤍 GYMEA UNITED - CHAMPIONS OF CHAMPIONS 2026! 🤍💚🏆
What an incredible season for our Gymea United Women’s Premier League side, who have officially been crowned 2026 Football NSW Champions of Champions! 🏆
These talented girls have had a remarkable year, achieving:
🏆 SSFA Women’s Premier League Minor Premiers
🥈 SSFA Women’s Premier League Grand Finalists
🥈 State Cup Grand Finalists
🏆 Football NSW Champions of Champions WINNERS!
After falling heartbreakingly short in the Champions of Champions Grand Final two years ago, losing in golden goal to Coogee United, the girls returned to the big stage with unfinished business and a determination to rewrite the ending.
Facing UTS FC in the Grand Final, Gymea produced an outstanding team performance to claim a 6–2 victory and be crowned the best in the state!
The girls came out firing, with Siobhan opening the scoring following a brilliant flick-on header from Em off Zoe’s delivery. Jade Melrose doubled the lead with a clinical finish from Meg’s cross before Saundo produced an absolute screamer from the left sideline. Saundo went on to complete a sensational hat-trick, while Dibs added a clinical brace to seal an unforgettable victory.
It was a brilliant display of attacking football, composure and teamwork, reflecting the hard work and dedication this group has shown throughout the entire season.
A huge congratulations to coach Angus and the entire playing squad on an extraordinary achievement. To reach three Grand Finals in one season and finish as Champions of Champions is something truly special.
Thank you to all our supporters, families and the Gymea United community who have backed these girls every step of the way.
Two years later, the story has a different ending. Champions of Champions. 💚🤍🏆
