This big gal has done wonders for my mental health. I never thought I could love her as much as I do. She is such a lovely doggy and brings so much joy into our lives.

I always like to pop on here and say hi about this time every year 😊.
This time of year comes with many people wanting to set goals for themselves. There’s literally millions of influencers out there atm trying to persuade you that there program will work for you, that there diet will work for you.
My advice… delete them!!
Be kind to yourself and get rid of those pages that don’t make you feel great, those pages that remind you you need to start now, or tomorrow. That make you feel like s**t every time you open up your phone. That look too perfect.
Don’t do it to yourself.
Be kind to yourself.
I know you all ask what gym you should join up to too!!
My advice, pop in to them all. Do your research walk in, say hi, see how they make you feel. If you don’t feel great, walk out. See if you can get a free trial and ask how they can help you.

My gym is wonderful!! It’s full of people of all shapes and sizes, young and old, advanced and just getting going. It’s a real community and I love it! (Feel free to message me if you’re interested in this wonderful place).

Anyway just a gentle reminder to be kind to yourself. You’re worth it

I just want you to know that I get it!!
I really get it!
As a personal trainer, aerobics and boot camp instructor it was easy to exercise, because that was my job. I had spare time in the middle of the day and after a class and before a client.
I get it now though, as I don’t have time.
I’ve changed jobs.
I work full-time, study part-time and taxi kids to and from work and sport the rest of the time. It’s actually exhausting!
Trying to fit in exercise pffff, it’s hard, like really hard. I’m sitting down a lot and my body is not the same.
I’m learning to slow down, chill a bit more and know that it’s ok to miss a day or two of exercise.
You will not die!!
Initially I felt like I was punishing myself for skipping a day and my head was all over the shop, but it’s okay to not be okay.

*A gentle walk in the morning is a fantastic start to your day
*3 times a week of strength training is enough
*a glass of wine or two is delicious
*chocolate is fine too!!
*lots of fruit and veggies is excellent, but it’s okay if you skip every now and then for fish and chips or kfc 😆
*audio books are great!
*Netflix is great!
*saying NO is a perfectly fine response
*having a s**t day does not need justification

Wishing all my effort with a smile followers a happy new year ♥️
My main goal is to do the best I can every day with what I’ve got and not be so tough on myself, something we should all do 😌
Please be kind always, and don’t be too quick to judge people.

We had a little metaPWR session before parkrun this morning. It’s definitely heating up, so it was great to be finished by 630am today.
