Cameras finally operating successfully in the stables. To keep an eye on my pregnant mare during the night. Some more rearranging today and then set up the foaling alarm. Ziezo is 318 days pregnant today. At 320 days, the foal is developed enough to breathe if born, but 345 days is full term. Not ready to pop yet I dont think. But soon.

Hannah GSF having a great time visiting the beach with her friend Mate and new mum Lana. Apparently there was a man at the beach that Hannah thought was suspicious and she kept her eye on him until he was gone. No barking or aggression. Only one little warning 'chuff.' Just ready if needed but otherwise peaceful. Lana said... I felt very safe. Exactly as a personal protection dog should be.

Happiness is....

One to share … far and wide. This applies to all animals. Support responsible breeders.

Everyone talks about responsible breeding.

And rightly so.

Ethical breeders should health test, socialise, support their puppies for life, and breed with purpose and welfare at the forefront.

But here's the uncomfortable truth:

Responsible breeding can only exist if responsible buying exists alongside it.

Yes…

Read that a second time!!!!!

For too long, the entire burden has been placed on breeders while puppy buyers escape scrutiny.

Yet every puppy produced, whether by an ethical breeder or a backyard breeder, is ultimately purchased by someone.

If buyers stopped handing over money to people who cut corners, breed without health testing, produce puppies in poor conditions, or breed purely for profit, those breeders would disappear almost overnight.

Supply follows demand.

Before bringing a puppy home, buyers have a responsibility to do their homework.

Ask to see health certificates.
Meet the mother.
Understand the breed.
Research pedigrees.
Learn about genetic conditions.
Be prepared for the financial, emotional, and time commitment of owning a dog for the next 10–15 years or more.

A puppy is not a fashion accessory, an impulse purchase, or a commodity to be bought because it's cheap, available, or trending on social media.

Every pound spent is a vote for the type of breeding you want to support.

The future of dog welfare doesn't rest solely in the hands of breeders. It rests equally in the hands of every person searching for a puppy.

EVERYONE IS ACCOUNTABLE

Stop asking only, "Why are these breeders producing these puppies?"

Start asking, "Why are people still buying cheap puppies from dubious sources or on impulse without correct research and thought?"

Ignorance is never an option in the day and age where more ways to research and be responsible exist than ever before!

Real change happens when both sides of the equation are held accountable.

Responsible breeders matter.

But responsible buyers are just as important.

Share this and try to get ordinary buyers STEPPING UP!

More about chores involved with running a farm/training center. Paddock maintainance on tuesday. Spraying a few clumps of rats tail while the ponies are staying in the 3 ac stable paddock aka maternity ward. This mob of kangaroos are enjoying the grass. Funny roos were very interested in the tractor and hopped towards us for a good look before deciding to hop away.

Yesterday this liitle rescue boy Floyd came for his second lesson. Anxiety was his main problem. His mum is very pleased with his progress and Floyd is much happier.

Yesterday, Pan, my own BGSD went to his first living wake. This lovely man Ross, is very ill and Pan came with me to visit him. Pan always comes to funerals with me and as usual, his behaviour was very good. A crowded room and plates of food and he just tucked in beside me, paying zero attention to anything except me and the old fellow I showed to him..
