Whether you're already refereeing each week, looking to gain your accreditation, or interested in giving refereeing a go for the first time, we'd love to see you there!

Gympie Touch is excited to be hosting the Queensland Touch Football Affiliate Referee Course on Monday, 14 September. Better still, Gympie Touch is covering the registration fee, making the course completely FREE for participants! 🙌

The Affiliate Referee Course covers:
🏉 Understanding and applying the rules
🏉 Essential officiating skills
🏉 Positioning and match awareness
🏉 Referee pathways and development

👥 Eligibility: Participants must be turning 12 years of age or older during the 2026 calendar year to gain accreditation.

🏉 FREE Q DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY - REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN!

We're excited to be hosting a Queensland Touch Football Q Development Academy right here in Gympie on Monday, 14 September!

Thanks to Gympie Touch, we're covering the registration cost, making this opportunity completely FREE for participants aged 11-16 years. 🙌

Designed for players looking to build on their existing Touch Football skills, the academy will focus on skill development through demonstrations, practice, skill correction and progression drills.

👀 Coaches, team managers and parent helpers are also encouraged to stick around on the sideline during the session. It's a great opportunity to observe the coaching methods, drills and skill progressions, and take away ideas to use with your own teams.

Gympie Regional Council is currently developing its new Open Space and Recreation Strategy, which will help guide planning and investment in parks, sporting facilities, recreation spaces and more across our region for the next 10 years.

For our Touch community, this is a great opportunity to have your say about the facilities we use, the challenges our local sporting clubs face, and what you’d like to see prioritised for the future.

Whether you’re a player, parent, referee, coach, volunteer or supporter, we strongly encourage our Gympie Touch community to complete the survey. 🏉

The survey asks about:
👉 How you use local sport and recreation facilities
👉 What’s working well
👉 Barriers or challenges you experience
👉 Where you’d like to see future improvements and investment
