25/26 Presentation Night 27/3/26 held @ Albert Park

We have had a massive season, season registration numbers closed out at 224 athletes registered (including senior athletes), 36 registrations shy of last years numbers, but still good a good number just the same.

We have certainly had some challenges this season with 4 canteen break ins, damage to the amenities block, our roller doors not working at the shed and some minor lighting issues.

On a positive note, the LAQ State Titles were held in Brisbane and as a club we had a very successful weekend. 18 athletes (so 1 more than last year) competed in 39 events.

We had 20 top 8 finishes, 1 bronze medal to Kallum for Javelin, 2 silver medals Zephyr in Long Jump and Cooper in Shotput, and 3 gold medals 2 in high jump to Indi and Hayden one for and Bella in Discus.

Thanks so much to all those families who joined us to celebrate the athletes achievements for the season. We hope to see you all back again in August for another season of Fun Family and Fitness!

Nadine will be at the shed very soon

Hi families, if you were unable to attend our presentation last Friday night, Nadine will be at the club shed this Wednesday from 3.30pm til 4.30pm if you would like to come and collect your end of season certificate. There are also some trophies to be collected also, trophy winners have been notified by email.

Reminder, PRESENTATION NIGHT tonight for all age groups, free dress too. BYO chairs, blankets and snacks. No canteen will be running tonight. See you all there 🤩

Attention families attending State Titles this weekend. The Program Guide is now published and can be found at the link below.

This has important event information for families so please have a read. Please remember that athletes are to be in full uniform for each event with Registration Number and Coles patch on their polo shirts. Old age patches on sleeves of Polo shirts are to be removed if not already.

Nadine will be the Team Manager for the 3 days and will be in attendance whilst all Gympie athletes are competing.

Team Gympie will hopefully be positioned somewhere in the Western Grandstand in the Main Stadium at QSAC, a Gympie Flag will be on display.

Nadine will have the club mobile phone (0427 704 547), so please either call the mobile or see her in the grandstand to let her know you have arrived for your event. If for any reason your athlete wishes to withdraw from an event, please let Nadine know so she can complete and submit a withdrawal form.

Hi everyone, sadly athletics won’t be on tonight as Albert Park along with all other sporting ovals is closed until next Thursday due to the ground still being too wet. That was the advice issued by Council yesterday.

Our presentation night will be held on Friday 27th March, 5.30pm for a 6pm start. Bring your chairs, your blankets and settle in to celebrate your children’s achievements for the season.

Feel free to BYO food and non alcoholic beverages to enjoy as the canteen will not be operating on presentation night.

Hi Everyone, we will know by lunchtime today if Albert Park will be open for use on Friday night. The program will be posted later today if we get the go ahead.

REMINDER: Tiny Tot Parents, your Tiny Tot will be receiving an award this Friday Night if you could please be in attendance. If this Friday night doesn't happen they will be presented their award on Presentation night 27th March.

Reminder to Families that have Perpetual athlete Shields to return. There are 4 in total that have not been handed back in. If parents could make contact with the club via Messenger to make arrangements for collection that would be most appreciated. Dropping them back on Friday night is quite unreliable at present due to weather conditions the last couple of weeks.
