Fresh mods for Sean

Customising seems to be the flavour of the month of late. Upending the living room is the norm. They always turn out neat and tidy once complete.

These frames were done for .m97 and .bayldon during their time at home recently, before their overseas stints on tour. Both players got on court with me to hit, discuss and modify their equipment. Studying subjects in biomechanics and anatomy at uni certainly come in handy for seeing what's needed for each player.

Ollie Puerta has nailed it today at regionals, qualifying through the try-outs for Northumberland. He's now off to the State Championships in May! Let's goooo 💪 👏

Two little legends went to zone for the first time today! Both in year 5, with another year up their sleeve. Ollie Puerta took out the entire Newcastle City zone, winning his pool and the play-offs! And Zac Browne came oh-so-close to making the cut for the final 6 playoffs in the Eastlake Macquarie zone, placing 3rd in his pool & 7th overall. Both boys have been training super hard lately, inspired by stints in Melbourne watching the Aussie Open 🎾 and rewarded with these fantastic results.
Good luck to Ollie in two weeks' time at regionals for a chance to qualify for state!

Well done to .rq from taking out his second B grade men's singles title on the trot - the 2024 Newcastle Open. It was a surprise welcome-home present for me from my two weeks holiday 😊

Well done to player .rq taking out his first title on the weekend at the Summer Open. Mitch took out the final of the B grade men's singles over with the match going the full distance 🤌
Both boys have been working hard lately, and both had set individual goals for the final which they both nailed 💪
Also congrats to Mitch teaming up with Ethan Hudson with a runner-up in the Special Men's Doubles.
We survived the heat 🔥 and the club put on a fantastic event as always 🎾 🙌
Also great to meet so many players and supporters from many areas of Australia, all bringing a great country tournament vibe to the event. Many new friends made for all.
Some fantastic play also from and Holly Cupples worth noting, but didn't quite bring home the silverware this time.
