We’re beyond thrilled to have Marty back at the Hackham Hawks for 2027! Marty’s influence over the entirety of the senior program this year as an assistant coach has been instrumental in the upturn of consistency and quality during 2026, allowing us to tap into his vast knowledge base and in 2027, he takes on the lead role of Football Director as well!

Marty’s coaching prestige extends over local, junior and SANFL teams, alongside of the extension into cricket as the Talent Manager of the Southern Districts Stingrays Cricket Program.

Hawks fans! We move on to the 2nd week of the finals flag race after last week’s loss to Central United. This weekend, we will be playing at HOME against Mitchell Park Sports & Community Club in an Elimination Final - We will also be playing host to the M7 Reserves Elimination Final between Mitchell Park and Flinders University earlier in the day.

We go again next week against Mitchell Park after the late game ran down to a tight contest.

Full credit to both teams today in the full sun, with every quarter exceeding 30mins, with the Units finding a fifth gear late in the game. An exceptional contest, setting the standard for an exciting finals series in 2026.

Our first Qualifying Finals game has been confirmed, and we’re playing the good blokes at Central United Sporting Club at 1:30pm, with our game being the only game of the day, while Mitchell Park host the Div 7 Reserves Qualifying and Elimination Finals, along with the Div 7 Elimination Final.

The good people at Adelaide Bus and Coach SA will be providing us a charter coach for the day, leaving the Clubrooms at approx. 10:45am for a 12:00pm for all our supporters, partners and loved ones to get onboard so we can have the BIGGEST cheer squad possible! We want to make sure you’re there with us, so let us know via message or chat to us throughout the week if you want to be on it!

ROUND 18 RESULTS + MINOR ROUND PLACINGS

Tough day out on our home deck this afternoon with both the A’s and B’s bot being able to get the chocolates against well polished Adelaide Lutheran sides.

A Grade: Hackham defeated by Adelaide Lutheran

Ladder placing - 3rd overall by percentage. This means the A Grade have been fortunate enough to lock in a double chance at finals and will play next week. Please keep an eye on the page on the coming days regarding game location and opposition.

B Grade: Hackham defeated by Adelaide Lutheran

Ladder placing - 6th overall by points. This means by one games result, they have missed out on finals for 2026. Commiserations to the B’s, a tough but by no means, disappointing season for such a dynamic, young group. Heads up fellas.
