2026-27 REGISTRATION increasing on 1 October.

SECA has informed our club that any players completing their players registration after 1 October will be paying a higher fee than what is currently on PlayHQ system.

Therefore, we would like to advice all players to registered NOW and "SAVE MONEY".

Junior Footy Final time.

Yes time is flying and it’s footy finals for some of our junior cricket players.
So if you want to watch them is action, I have listed below the games and venues.
Congratulations to Jimmy, Ted, Tim, Alex, Lachie and Sam who will play this Sunday 23 August - 11am at Boss James.
Congratulations to Tom, Jayce and Mason will play at 9am also this Sunday at Boss James.
Finally, congratulations to Jack Atcho who will play at 11am also this Sunday at East Malvern in his final.

REMINDER - Meet the new HUCC coach.

"Meet the new HUCC coach" this coming Friday 21 August at (one of our new sponsors), Bentleigh Social, 401 Centre Road from 7:30pm.

All age groups of players and parents are welcomed to come and listen to Will Bowden with his new vision for HUCC.

Pre-season training locked in.

With SECA releasing Quiney Shield fixtures, the forthcoming season is now getting closer.

So our Head of Cricket is happy to announce that further pre-season training is now locked in. (Calendar attached).
New dates are Saturday mornings from 10:00am to noon at Sillitoe Reserve nets starting from SATURDAY 15 AUGUST until 19 SEPTEMBER.

Reminder - that there are 4 indoor net training at Cricket HQ (dates & times on calendar) and also a week before the season starts, we have a pre-season match against Mackie on Saturday 3 October.

The Home & Away fixtures have been released for 1st XI. We start at Home against East Sandringham in Round 1 and finish Round 12 at home against CUCC Kings.

It is with sadness that I must report the passing of our teammate Malcolm Twining.
With typical Malcolm determination he defied the odds extending his life well beyond his original cancer diagnosis.
Mal was a larger-than-life character at HUCC. A leader on the field playing in four Premiership teams, Club Champion, and winning multiple bowling awards.

A massive contributor off field. taking on many committee roles, junior coach, welfare officer, social secretary, editor of our history book. The list goes on making us the great club we are today.

He liked to call his teammates scallywags however, he was the biggest scallywag at the club.
In terms of storytelling, he was like the gift that kept on giving no boundaries, no filter, no worries.

His legacy at our club will not be forgotten.
Thanks for all the great memories.
Rest in Peace you scallywag.
