Losing weight isn’t a 2-month gig⁣
⁣
Especially if you want to keep the kilos off for good⁣

Adam’s been one of my most consistent clients for 2.5 years now⁣

And his progress speaks for itself.⁣

It's been great getting out with Jett and enjoying a Sunday run in preparation for his cross country.⁣
⁣
Running has always been something I've enjoyed, and I can see he has a great little cardio engine he is developing too.⁣
⁣
We’ve worked our way up from 1km to 1.5km, and he’s handled them well.⁣
⁣
He had his cross country, and I’m bloody proud of him for giving it a crack.⁣
⁣
Now that his cross country is done, I’m hoping he is still keen to continue our little runs together.⁣
⁣

Grab your protein shake (or beer, I’m not judging) and hear me out...⁣

I’m not here to make friends. My job is to remove the bu****it that’s keeping you stuck and challenge you to better standards.⁣
⁣
My thoughts might not be what you’ve heard from other fitness gurus. But after 20+ years in the fitness industry, coaching men over 40 with kids and stressful jobs, I’m here to show you another way.⁣
⁣
Most men I help have tried to get in shape before. Lost 10, 20, maybe even 30 kilos… only to regain it. They’ve dabbled in restrictive diets, cut out everything they enjoy, and tried to white-knuckle their way through. But no one’s ever shown them how to drop the spare tyre without giving up a beer with their mates.⁣
⁣
Instead, they’ve looked at miserable, hard-to-stick-to diets like shakes off a chemist’s shelf or low-carb diets and thought, maybe this time will be different.⁣
⁣
I’m not here to tell you that this is easy. Because it’s not. Staying in shape isn’t a quick-fix. It’s a lifelong commitment. It’s not about losing 15 kilos in 8 weeks and calling it a day. This whole ā€œstaying in shapeā€ caper is for life. And if you’re looking for something quick and easy, I’m not your guy.⁣
⁣
I take the p**s out of fads and trends because most of them are absolute BS. If that offends you, feel free to unfollow. I won’t be offended.⁣
⁣
If you’re chasing rapid fat loss and ā€œrent-a-bodyā€ transformations, I’m not your guy.⁣
⁣
But if you want to put in the work and years down the track…⁣
⁣
āœ… Have lost the kilos and actually kept them off⁣
⁣
āœ… Be fit enough to keep up with your kids and enjoy life instead of watching from the sidelines⁣
⁣
āœ… Be proud of the bloke you see in the mirror every morning⁣
⁣
āœ… Have the confidence to take your shirt off, whether it’s at the beach or in the bedroom⁣
⁣
Then stick around.⁣
⁣
My content isn’t about six-packs, although let’s be real, that’s bloody achievable even after 40. It’s about becoming the best version of yourself. The fit dad at school pick-up. The man who walks into a room with confidence. The bloke who doesn’t just ā€œget in shapeā€ but stays in shape.⁣

And as you’ll see, I’m a bloke in my 40s, navigating this too.⁣

If You Grew Up Playing Sport Like I Did, You’ve Probably Felt This Too…⁣

There comes a time in your mid to late 30s when you know it’s just around the corner.⁣
⁣
Hanging up the boots for good. šŸ‰ ⁣
⁣
Work becomes the focus.⁣
⁣
Family becomes the focus.⁣
⁣
Now, it’s your kids playing sport instead of you.⁣
⁣
But what you didn’t anticipate?⁣
⁣
Five, ten years down the track… the kilos creep up 😟⁣
⁣
The gut reaches a stage where it’s not appealing at all.⁣
⁣
Things that used to be a piece of p**s now leave you short of breath.⁣
⁣
The training and game days stopped.⁣
⁣
But the p**s and the eating? That didn’t. ⁣
⁣
You’re still drinking like you used to šŸ»ā£
⁣
You’re still eating like you used to šŸ•ā£
⁣
But the big difference?⁣
⁣
Your activity levels have tanked.⁣
⁣
Sport gave you structure.⁣
⁣
Sport gave you routine.⁣
⁣
Sport gave you accountability.⁣
⁣
You don’t have your mates ripping into you for missing training on a freezing cold night:⁣
⁣
"Where were ya, ya softcock?"⁣
⁣
No coach is texting you saying you’ve been dropped to the 2s for missing sessions.⁣
⁣
No dreaded pre-season⁣
⁣
No time trials⁣
⁣
No fkn beep test⁣
⁣
(And let’s be honest.. you hated that s**t, but you got through it.)⁣
⁣
I felt this too.⁣
⁣
So what changed for me?⁣
⁣
Managing my expectations.⁣
⁣
Most blokes in our position get stuck because they try to model gym routines from Men’s Health⁣
⁣
Copying guys who do fitness for a living.⁣
⁣
Six days a week?⁣
⁣
Nah mate, that was never gonna happen.⁣
⁣
So I thought back…⁣
⁣
Back to what actually worked.⁣
⁣
Footy? Three days a week.⁣
⁣
Cricket? Three days a week.⁣
⁣
Two training sessions⁣
⁣
Game on the weekend⁣
⁣
Even with drinking⁣
⁣
Back then, I’d hold off during the week so I could perform on game day.⁣
⁣
Now? I keep it to a few beers while watching the footy or cricket.⁣
⁣
When you set up a routine that fits your life (not someone else’s), it becomes so much easier.⁣
⁣

I’m seeing so many men in Facebook groups looking to TRT as a shortcut to feeling young, strong and lean again. Yes it has its place, but most of your problems with testosterone are getting more sleep, sorting out ya dad bod and pulling your head in with your eating and drinking.⁣
⁣
Hits home but if you're self conscious about man b***s and a beer gut and carrying 15 kilos more than you should.. Thats a lifestyle thing not an excuse to rub some topical gel onto your skin or start jabbing a needle into your rig šŸ’‰
