This Saturday marks the qualifying round of one of our special annual events — the Peter Fechner Memorial Matchplay Knockout.

The event is held in memory of Peter Fechner, a great friend of Horsham Golf Club who had a particular love for match play golf. It’s fitting that his connection with the Club continues to be celebrated through an event played in the format he enjoyed so much.

Previous winners include Leo Delahunty, Brian Wirth and Brian Mannix, with Brian taking out last year’s title.

GRAND FINAL RESULTS
🦫 The Beaver Boys snuck home in an absolute thriller over CHS Snap Hooks, 112–111
One point after an entire season… brutal way to lose it, but a cracking Grand Final!

🥉 3RD PLACE PLAYOFF
🌿 Natural Hazards finished their season on a high, taking out third place over the Steamed Dimmys, 104–100.

🏅 And a huge congratulations to Jayden Egan from the Steamed Dimmys, who capped off a brilliant season by taking out the 2026 League MVP Award!

A massive thank you to everyone who played throughout the season and helped make the inaugural Wimmera Aquatrail Golf League such a great competition.

And congratulations to our first-ever champions… THE BEAVER BOYS! 🏆🦫
