Our popular Versatility Pairs is back on Sunday, 6 July, and we look forward to seeing another great field of teams competing.

Club Helensvale is set to host a BPL Cup Preliminary Round on 28th of June at 10:00am and is encouraging members to register to be part of this exciting competition.

As the world’s biggest club-based bowls competition, the BPL Cup is a key pathway competition, giving club bowlers the chance to experience the intensity and excitement of the Bowls Premier League (BPL) format.

Teams consist of three or four players, which can be made up of all male, female or mixed combinations, and games will include power plays, making for an engaging spectacle for both players and spectators.

Winning teams from Preliminary Rounds at local clubs progress to Regional Finals and then State Finals, with the ultimate goal being to win a trip to the BPL Cup National Final played in conjunction with BPL24 from Tuesday 10 -13 November 2026.

This a great opportunity for players of all abilities and ages, with the BPL Cup helping attract new members to the club, generate excitement by showcasing bowls in its most dynamic format, and providing our players with a pathway to the spotlight.

A huge congratulations to two of Club Helensvale’s finest, Kelsey Cottrell and Nathan Rice, on their outstanding recognition at the 2026 Bowls Australia Hall of Fame and Awards Night on the Gold Coast.

Kelsey was named Commonwealth Games Australia International Female Bowler of the Year, adding another incredible achievement to her decorated career and following her selection in the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games team.

We also congratulate Nathan Rice on his induction into the Australian Bowls Hall of Fame, recognising a remarkable international career representing Australia, including multiple Commonwealth Games and World Championships, and four Commonwealth Games medals.

An incredible honour for both athletes, and a proud moment for Club Helensvale. Congratulations Kelsey and Nathan! 👏💚
