Round 5 and final round for 2026 QCRS hosted by Lifecycle Cycling Club handicap road race at Lowood and what a turn out by the team! All the team raced strong and loads of PRs today. Steve finished 4th and Neil 11th overall in today’s road race and Steve picked up the series win🥇for MMC. Richard and Dick finished 🥈 in the para category on the tandem and Mhari picked up🥇in the Wendy Pilbeam today and🥉overall in Ladies C Grade for the series! Saturday we had 4 of the guys head over to Muzz to race and all had a fast and strong race. Congrats to Simon taking on the brown snake gravel ride today too. Weekend wrap up for the team! 💣 Saturday Crit at Nundah Hamilton Wheelers Cycling Club had big numbers in all grades with C Grade a points race had Simon coming away with 4th and Kim🥉female in D Grade! Good to see Stuart back racing after his accident a few months ago. We had Sunshine Coast Cycling Club hosting QLD ITT Series Rd 5 with Ben🥇and cleaning up🥇overall in the series for D Grade and Richard & Dick🥉Para in the series. Strong racing all series by the guys. A few races over the weekend had the team on Saturday at Elimbah for Hamilton Wheelers Cycling Club road race with Michael 5th B Grade and Stu 4th D Grade and racing over at Muzz which unfortunately there was a crash in B Grade and C Grade was cancelled. Sunday had a few of the guys race the Sunshine Coast Cycling Club Glass House Road Race which had Neil finishing 4th in D Grade. This weekend we had a group of the guys head out west to ride the BVRT 160km gravel race. Saturday was the Darren Smith Classic Crit at Muzz with JP representing the team in MMC and Ian in MMD who both had a strong races and Kim picking up🥉in D Grade Ladies. Sunday was the Darren Smith Classic Road Race at Mt Alford the guys all digging dip to finish strong with Steve finishing🥈in MMC after great team work with Mark & Giuseppe who finished 5th! Sunday we also had the Hamilton Wheelers Cycling Club century and half century club ride on which saw Al tackle the century and Mark, Kim & Greer the half century. Cold start to Saturday mornings Hamilton Wheelers Cycling Club Crit but things certainly warmed up on the track. We had quite a few of the team racing in B, C & D Grades and each grade had strong fast races! A big weekend for the team heading out to Gatton on Saturday for the Mardi Bartlett Classic & Charles Coin Memorial Road Races hosted by UQ Cycle Club Taylor had a strong race with the C/D Ladies picking up the climb classification &🥇in D Grade. The MMC guys had a hard race with Pete fighting it out for🥈and Steve 5th place. Sunday we had Richard & Dick on the tandem, Greer piloting a tandem and Ben racing at Nundah for the QLD ITT Series Round 4 with Ben picking up🥇in MMD! What a weekend for two of our ladies racing in C Grade at the Balmoral Junior & Women’s Tour with outstanding results in all four stages. Stage 1 Prologue - Greer🥈Taylor 6th, Stage 2 Road Race - Taylor 5th, Greer 11th, Stage 3 Mt Gravatt Hill Climb - Taylor 5th, Greer 12th, Stage 4 Criterium - Greer🥈, Taylor🥉 overall Taylor 6th & Greer 7th! We had Steve, Michael & Ian head out to Elimbah Saturday for the Road Race with Steve🥉and Michael 4th in B Grade! Neil, Nick, Pete & Giuseppe headed south on Sunday to race Luke Harrop Crit all had a strong race and Pete unfortunately got a flat on last lap.
