🚨AUCTION: Closed 🚨

Hi all, I haven't done this sort of thing before so hopefully this is ok.
I have a workmate who is in dire need of some money to get by, as he recently had a heart attack and required surgery to insert a couple of stents, unfortunately they didn't work, so his heart is operating at 25% capacity and needs to get up to around 40-45% capacity before he is allowed to drive a truck again, so he may need open heart surgery. He has a gofundme page to try and raise the money to pay his bills, I have put up a screen shot with his info. So I have decided to do my bit and raise some money by auctioning off one of my lures and all the proceeds will go towards his goal, if you would like to donate you can go to his gofundme page and donate there or you can bid in this auction and I will make sure the funds go to him. His goal is $4,000, his story is quite amazing, he use to do special needs care for over 10 or so years, he has a step son who is special needs and he was doing Truck driving delivering much needed items to Schools and hospitals up through Queensland going to all the isolated areas and rural areas. He is always willing to help those that need it, so I want to return a favour to a great guy.

So what I have up for grabs is a 2 piece jointed Mackerel Glide Bait, it is 190mm long, and is finished with foil, custom paint, and has 3 layers of clear, it is a top water Glide Bait with a great action. Use it to fish or admire it as a display piece.
Starting bid is $70, auction will commence on Monday 20/4/26, 5:00 pm Qld time and finish Tuesday 21/4/26 5:30pm Qld time, the highest bidder at 5:30 Tuesday 21/4/26 will be deemed the winner of the Auction, there will be a $15 postage fee to be added to the total, payment will need to be made within 24 hrs of the auction ending, I will send details of where to make payment to the winner. Good luck to you all, happy bidding. Please make all bids in messenger and not in the comments on this post, thank you.

My first attempt at a surface paddler, made from a piece of Camphor, I kept it mainly natural with a small amount of paint, bent my own bib and it performed quite well before clear coat will test it again and take some video footage of the action

I made this lure out of Cedar about a month ago, but it looked a bit boring to me, so I decided it needed a facelift

Another one I just finished this morning

Had a fun build with these 4 over the last 2 or 3 weeks, so cool seeing them get to the finished stage, the ideas just hit you all at once, but in the end I wanted to show off the awesome timber I was working with but one which was pine and I wanted to paint that fully, and just use limited paint on the other still showing off the awesome grain of the Silky Oak, other 2 timbers are Camphor Laurel and Cedar, all have incredible actions.

Here is one I started about 2-3 weeks ago, in Silky Oak, managed to get 2 coats of clear on it the last couple of days and still having issues with fish eyes in the clear, the first coat was really bad, the second coat was alot better but still a few in it, I think I will get rid of the syringes, I was going to convert fully to UV as I have dabbled in it a little but I don't have the set-up, I tried one of my baits in the second lot of photos, with full UV and hung it in the sun, after turning it in the sun for about 5 mins, and left it hanging after, for about 30 mins or so, turning the body every now and then to even the sun time on it, but it hasn't fully hardened, still a little tacky to the touch, only very slightly, so I'm not sure if that is the UV resin I'm using or the time of the sun or what.
