A lot of parents don’t realise breaststroke is one of the most important safety strokes kids can learn. 🌊

It’s calm, controlled, energy-efficient, and helps swimmers stay aware of what’s around them while keeping their head above water.

Last week our swimmers were practicing those skills with their instructors, slowing things down, building confidence, and learning how to move through the water safely, not just quickly. 💙

The end of term is creeping up quickly! 😰

Just a friendly reminder to check your Swim School account and make sure any outstanding fees are finalised before the term wraps up.

We know life gets busy and payments can occasionally slip your mind, so this is simply a little reminder to help keep everything up to date heading into the school holidays. 🏊‍♀️💙

So many smiles, and so much glitter, at Yarrilee's U8’s Day yesterday. 💙✨

Amy, Tahnee, Tamara and Rebecca had the best time doing face painting and glitter tattoos with all the kids, and safe to say the stall stayed busy the whole morning! 🌈

So fun being part of community days like this and getting to meet so many local families outside of Mako's. ☺️ Thank you for having us Yarrilee State School!

To the one who somehow manages to be everywhere at once - in the pool, behind the scenes, supporting the team, helping families, training instructors, answering questions, solving problems, and still finding time for a laugh along the way...

Amy puts so much of herself into Mako’s and works incredibly hard to create a place where kids feel safe, families feel supported, and staff continue to grow and learn.
