Congratulations again to Coach Mick on winning Development Coach of the Year (Darling Downs)!!

24/05/2026

A huge congratulations to Mick on being named Development Coach of the Year for the 2025/26 season by the Darling Downs Regional Swimming Association.

This is actually the second consecutive year Mick has received this award. An incredible achievement and recognition of the impact he continues to have on young swimmers.

We recognise this comes during a period of transition but wanted to celebrate the significant contribution Mick made to his former club and community. To that end we’re incredibly excited for the next chapter of his coaching journey with us here in Hervey Bay. Congratulations Mick!

• Australian Long Course Record – 17 Years S19 50m Freestyle, set across the season, including times of 25.67, 25.62 and 25.51
