Here is a longer 17 minute snip out of the 2 hour's of footage I have from day 2 PSM, King Lake to Norseman section. Endless mud

Day 10 PSM, Cooma to Sydney 380km. Bit of everything today, country sealed and unsealed roads, highway and a bit of city driving. Breakfast and start control was at the amazing Cooma Car Club. From there we travelled to Numeralla and onto Hindmarsh Station where the homestead family put on a wonderful morning tea. Hindmarsh Station was home to one of the original timing controls for the 68 LSM. From there Braidwood, Nowra, Bargo then onto the finish at Warwick Farm.
It's been a wonderful trip, meet many fabulous people, vehicles, and learnt a lot about marathon rallying of the past. In 1968 amazingly they did what we have done in 10 days all in just 67 hours 22 minutes Perth to Sydney by the winning car of Andrew Cowan. No time results today as this was classified as a 'non speed' touring event. Thanks to everyone involved in organising such an event. We had a blast

Day 9 PSM. Starting in Lakes Entrance travelled North to Buchan, Murrindal control, Jindabyne and Cooma to finish up at Cooma Motorfest.
Some brilliant rally roads this morning, but things came unstuck for Zane along the Barry Way stretch. Thankfully it happened at low speed, into a right bend with a bit of understeer and with the large crown on the road got spat down into the bank. No injuries except for one badly damaged sence of pride. Car looks terrible but it is mostly cosmetic damage, with the front bar and guard stuffed. With a quick cut of the guard and bar with a cordless grinder thanks to Ian & Dereck from car 97, Greg & Jacqui from car 50 for a hand with the sn**ch strap the front wheel was free to turn and we were back on the road. Once at Cooma a few swings of the hammer a jack and block of wood we at least had the door and bonnet opening and closing again. A roll or 2 of race tape and we should be good for the finish tomorrow then the trip back to Hervey Bay. Also had a visit from family and friends at Cooma to end the day on a good note

Day 8 PSM. Wangaratta to Lakes Entrance. What a joy today's drive was. Spectacular views up and over Mt Hotham and some great little country roads, some sealed some not. One of the shorter days at only 340km but it was very enjoyable. Praying more roads are open tomorrow up to Cooma.
What a morning

Day 6 & 7 PSM. Day 6 we departed the stunning Flinders Ranges and unfortunately followed the black top all the way to Broken Hill about 480km.
Still with much if the roads closed off its mostly going to be a highway tour for the rest.
Day 7 was a long 920km stretch from Broken Hill to Wangaratta. So much water laying around and the rivers are so swollen. Thoughts are with all those impacted by the floods, here is us lot complaining about road closures and there are people losing property and possessions from the floods. There has been a few PSM entrants leave early to go look after their homes.
This afternoon in Wangaratta we had a visit from Phill Lunn the son of Rex Lunn the original owner of KAM163 that entered it in the 68 LSM. Phill bought along some of Rex's rally badges and even the roadbook from 68 LSM. Was really great to meet you Phill.

Day 4 & 5 PSM. Day 4 section 1 started from Border Village Roadhouse and travelled east along the old Eyre Highway 183km (unsealed) to Nullarbor Roadhouse. After a quick refuel and lunch break section 2 was back out on the old Eyre 116km through to Yalata Indigenous Community then back on Highway 1 to Ceduna another 200km. Those first to dirt sections were extremely muddy, some cars all over the place. We got hit with a wall of mud off someone else's rear tyres in the second section and had to go easy for a bit to avoid overheating the engine due to the front of the car and radiator totally clogged up with mud.
Day 5 has been a bit more sedate 😭 with all the dirt roads scheduled being closes off by the authorities due to the heavy rains. There is still some uncertainty as to how much of the rest of the event will go. See what pans out over the next couple days. However we had a quiet drive from Ceduna to Port Augusta with a lunch stop at the August's Vehicle Restorers Club.
From there was a picturesque drive up through Quorn to Wilpena Pound.
Bit more maintenance was done tonight due to all the mud we have been through over the last few days. Removed wheels to chip out the mud the pressure wash didn't remove (still masses underneath the car), clean and adjust the rear brakes.

Day 3 PSM departed Norseman with an unavoidable drive east along the highway. We were scheduled to tackle SS29 from the 93 LSM from Madura to Mundrabilla a stage that Lawrie and Jim were 6th fasted car on. Heavy rain previous night had seen some of the roads closed off. Lawrie was looking forward for the chance to find the bonnet they lost last time. We left the highway about 20km west of Eucla for a short burst through the salt bush flats and the sand dunes. All entrants are split between Eucla and Border Village Roadhouse depending on accommodation.

More PSM Day 2 goodness 👍
Day 2 PSM 448km total saw us tackle what was dubbed the 'Horror Stretch' in the 68 event from Marvel Loch to Lake King and then Lake King to Norseman. Afternoon thunderstorms and heavy rain made the last 120 or so km of unsealed quite interesting with water blanketing the tracks in places and a super slippery surface.
