710 Motorsport Endurance Racing Team based out of Hervey Bay It has not been easy, nor smooth sailing all the way, but as we have learned…That’s racing.

710 Motorsport along with Team Steinard have been competing together in budget endurance racing in QLD forming a formidable racing team. Five years ago in a shed in Hervey Bay a plan was hatched to take a free Audi that was given to us and race it on a track in the 24 hours of Le’mons. This is a snowball that continued to grow year after year gaining more momentum and expanding from its humble beginnings. Fast forward five years and we have become a race team to be reckoned with in the local endurance racing scene, running up to three Audi’s with 12 drivers at some events and picking up numerous wins and podium finishes at the best race tracks in Queensland. Collectively our Audi’s have raced more than 30,000km on race tracks which is a stat that takes a bit to get your head around, especially for 20 year old cars. The dizzying highs and crushing lows is what keeps up coming back for more. The team, spearheaded by Darren and Russell has been driven by their mechanical wizardry and their lifelong history of racing bikes and anything with an engine. The team has amassed a driving roster of over 20 drivers from Mackay to Melbourne that we can call upon to fill the race seats each event, these have come from people we meet at race events, friends and friends from the sim racing community. We have loved all the support we receive from all of our supporters over the years, from those who have been with us from the beginning to our new followers. But this is only the beginning… we still have plenty of exciting races to get through this year and plans are afoot to make 2024 the biggest year yet! New cars, new tracks and bigger challenges await us! So tighten your belts and join us for more racing adventures by following our page and sharing it with your friends

Scirocco update ...
passed pre log book inspection today, log book now forthcoming, next is suspension, brakes etc including KW V3 coil overs, new bushes, new wheel bearings, new braided brake lines and 6 pot alcon brakes ... transmission is away having a l*d fitted and checked over, when the above are done then I start on the engine and chassis tuning, tis going well

next weekend see's the A3 at morgan park for 3x8 hour races, am so looking forward to it as it all has been nothing but work over the past few months

Entries for the B6H 2027 open at 10:00 am on the 23rd Sept so I will be glued to the PC just prior to get our entry in quickly

We already have 1 Major Sponsor and are looking for other sponsors similiar to what we did in 2024/5 so if you have any ideas please email me at [email protected] , we do have a set of guide lines for potential sponsors to consider

I do need all of these positions filled asap so planning around them can begin

B6hour 2027 update ... some change in direction the S3 will not be ready for the B6H 2027 so as not to miss the event I have purchased 2 x vw Scirocco's, one in mint condition and one very damaged car from the 2026 event, work will now comence building one car out of the two, being already homologated the car will be at the 2027 event, must say a big thank you to darren goddard for his commitment to this project

Don't know if this post worked so here we go again ... boneyard gp day 2 did not go to plan, all we had to do maintane our 15 lap lead by matching others lap times and we would have come away with an outright win ... but ... a wheel bearing said nah thats it, bu**er

Well Townsville day 2 did not go to plan, all we had to do was to match others lap times and would have got the outright win by 15 laps and all was going well until a wheel bearing said nah thats it for me, bu**er

That's day one at tge boneyard gp done, currently sitting at 15 laps in front outright but we have a few issues with the car that may see that lead eroded away slowly tomorrow but we are having a great time, here's hoping it all holds together

Hi all, well I did not expect the ammount of support and messages I am getting, If I have not answered you yet I will at some point over the next 2 or 3 weeks as I am currently prepping for another event in the a3, cheers and thankyou all

Well here we go again, today I secured the purchase of an Audi S3 to build into a production class 3E car to Bathurst 6 Hour level and intend entering the 2027 Bathurst 6 Hour event.

The car is yet to be Homologated (approved by Motorsport Australia) to enter the event but the process has been started as of today, there has been no homologation to date for this car but it is a direct sibling to the VW Golf R Mark 6 which won the B6H class C last weekend so I do not expect any major hurdles

All going well 710 will be at the 2027 B6H racing in class C over Easter 2027 so save the date and let me know if you would like to come along for the ride either in the pits or as a driver (driver numbers are limited and you would need an MA open circuit licence)

I just could not handle just watching the last event and not participating

This means that the Camry may not be back again as my focus will be on the Audi etc, as it should prove to be a very competitive class C car
