✨IM BAAAAACK! ✨
First week back in the gym & im so ridiculously happy! Yet these are hard still hard for me to post.

Yes I just had a baby 6wks ago (via emergency c-section), yes I am aware that my body is incredible, yes I am being kind to myself 80% of the time.
But that doesn’t mean I need to be comfortable with how I look right now.

My strength has diminished, im 10kg heavier & almost NONE of my clothes fit me properly, however life is a journey & I intend to fully enjoy the stage of it am currently in 🥰

But if you can dig deep & push past the fear it’s worth every second!

This time of the year should be about happiness, love & family (blood or chosen).

Try not to stress yourself out over food too much, move when you can - think water fights, swimming, backyard cricket - things that make you smile!

You’ve had a big year, we all have so enjoy some well deserved down time 🙌🏼🎄

BINGE EATING 🍫

This goes so much deeper than having a bit too much chocolate.
There are usually deeper causes at play that get brought to the surface by triggers. So things like “go for a walk” or “brush your teeth” might push off the trigger but if you don’t deal the deeper cause then the trigger can be reactivated.

Some common causes of Binge eating include:
🛑 Excessive restriction of calories
🛑 Dieting when the body isn’t ready
🛑 A stressful day or event

There are ways to manage your binging habits while you investigate the deeper causes!

YOUR INNER MEAN GIRL IS A BITCH
and she’s wrong!

The other day I spoke about getting out of your own way & unlearning bad habits. One of these bad habits can be berating ourselves in horrible ways when we “mess up”

Negative self talk like “I hate myself”
“I’m useless”
“Ill never change/do better”
No one is as cruel to us as we are to ourselves.

These thought processes NEED to change before you can start to make real change!
A simple exercise I use & get my clients to use is to give this inner mean girl a name (mines is Karen) and when the thoughts start, stop & think to yourself F**K OFF KAREN (or whatever name you choose).
Take the power back for you, because you are better than her 🙌🏼

GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY!

This may seem rude or abrasive but hear me out.
Most of the time we are our own worst enemy, and unlearning life lessons we have picked up along the way can be extremely challenging but it’s WORTH IT!

Do you really want to look back & realise the only thing stopping you from achieving your goals, was you?

One aspect we can examine in an effort to change this is our habits. I HIGHLY recommend “Atomic Habits” by James Clear. It’s mind blowing 🤯
