Last weekend Jaxon jumped the ropes for the 4th time this year!

It wasn’t the result we wanted but we are so proud every time he’s in the ring. To see how far Jaxon has come after a short time we know he has a very bright future in the ring.

A special milestone for our little family gym having Kingston helping out for the first time and three generations in the corner! It was such a proud moment to see how excited he was to be apart of what he’s grown up around.

Great day at Conquest yesterday, although we didn’t walk away with our hands raised both Ella and Jaxon done us so proud!

First up Ella jumped in against a girl 3 years older and 3kgs heavier! Round one both girls showed just how hard they have been training with skill well above their ages. Towards the end of the first round Ella copped an accidental punch to the face that ended up cutting the inside of her mouth, at such a young age it’s hard to regroup and keep going so we made the call to end the fight and try again another day. So proud of the courage Ella showed! ☺️

Jaxon was semi main event and put on a show. This year we have been working on cleaning up his fight style and didn’t that show last night! Strong, technical and constantly pushing forward it was a very close fight from start to finish. We love seeing so many small boxes ticked every time he jumps the ropes, this is going to be a big year!

Another show done and dusted!

First up today Layton jumped in for a demo to see what the sport is all about. He showed good glimpses of skill when he was able to break his opponents massive range. He has been on an incredible journey so far kicking both weight loss and self confidence goals with lots more to accomplish, we can’t wait to see where the next few years takes him!

Casey jumped in for his second fight in 3 weeks! It was an action packed three rounds with neither boy taking a backwards step. In a very close fight although we didn’t get the win the first thing Casey said hopping out of the ring was “well I’m happy with that!”, what more can you ask for, when you leave everything in the ring and have fun doing it we call that a win in itself.

Simon has been working hard behind the scenes learning the ropes and being an amazing extra support, he’s a quick learner with a great mentor, we can’t wait to see how he grows in a different aspect of the sport.

Winners are grinners!!

Yesterday Casey jumped the ropes for the first time and came away with a first round TKO!

Casey listened well and executed the game plan perfectly relaxing in his combos and taking the body nicely. For someone that doesn’t say a lot, his fight spoke volumes of the consistent hard work he has been putting in this year to finally get in the ring and have some fun.

Back to training tomorrow and doing it all again in two weeks 😁
