SIT Training - Squat vs Mountain Climbers
2 Minute Intervals - the 1st minute is work - the 2nd minute is rest โ
1st Minute - do 10 squats as fast as you can (Lightish weight - about 40 - 50% of heaviest squat)
The remainder of that minute you're doing mountain climbers
So if you do your squats in 15 secs then you're doing mountain climbers for 45 secs
YOU'RE DOING BOTH OF THESE THINGS AT FULL GAS!
2nd minute you rest and recover
Then you do it all again.
Repeat for 6 rounds. 12 mins in total ๐ช

Does alcohol hinder weight loss?
YES
When you drink alcohol (ethanol), your body:
๐ Prioritises breaking it down first
๐ Pauses burning fat and carbs while it does
So even if youโve eaten well:
๐ fat burning basically gets put on hold until the alcohol is processed.

White rice vs Brown rice - What's the difference?
I eat both!
The difference is less about the colour and more about how the rice is processed and how your body digests it.
๐พ Brown rice is a whole grain and it contains more:
๐Fibre (super important for menopausal women)
๐Magnesium
๐Potassium
๐Iron
๐B vitamins
๐ Slower digestion for most people
๐ White rice
๐More processed (bran removed)
๐Lower in fibre
๐Easier to digest
๐ Great option if you struggle with gut issues or high-fibre foods
โก What about GI? (This refers to how quickly your blood sugar rises after eating)
White rice is generally higher GI
Brown rice is generally lower GI
But keep in mind:
GI can vary depending on the type of rice and what you eat it with.
๐๏ธโโ๏ธ When would I choose each?
White rice โ around training (easier to digest, quick energy)
Brown rice โ meals where you want more fibre and fullness
๐ But both are great optionsโthereโs no โgood vs badโ here.
๐ฅ Calories? Very Similar:
Brown rice (1 cup cooked) โ ~218 calories (slightly higher in fat)
White rice (1 cup cooked) โ ~240 calories (slightly higher in carbs)
Bottom line:
๐ Choose based on digestion, preference and timing - not because one is "better" than the other.
