Hervey Bay Surf Life Saving Club

Last Saturday we officially opened our season with the Hervey Bay Masters Carnival, and what a cracker of a day it was!
With the weather putting on a show, 110 competitors aged from 30 to 70+ hit the sand and water and proved that age is definitely just a number!
They battled it out on our bayside sand in beach sprints and flags, before hitting the water for surf, board and ski races. And when the teams events rolled around, the smiles, laughs and competitive spirit really came out to shine.

A huge congratulations to Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club on taking out the Overall Winning Club.
But we couldn't be prouder of us, Hervey Bay Surf Life Saving Club, keeping at home the Most Improved Club trophy!

Our Junior Activities Coordinator, Jane Kelly, is the 2026 Wide Bay Capricorn's Andy Frizzell OAM, OBE award recipient!
Jane is recognised as member who has provided outstanding service and commitment to Junior Activities throughout the season and has demonstrated efforts above and beyond the expectations of a normal member.

Congratulations to our Tony Grima, recipient of the 2026 Wide Bay Capricorn's Volunteer Coach of the Year!
