Exciting news!!

Recovering of the clubs training nets is scheduled to commence next week. The top nets will be first to have all of the artificial turf replaced. As such the top nets will be closed from tomorrow. This is due to commencment of the removal of the old turf.

The bottom nets are still available for use during this time.

Please remain clear of the top nets until advised they are ready for use.

HBCA is seeking volunteers for the upcoming season! A cricket club thrives on the strength of its community, and we need your support to keep creating success both on and off the pitch. From pre-season preparations to the final wicket of the year, a dedicated team behind the scenes is essential to make everything run smoothly on the field.

Please submit your nomination by June 15th to support our local club. We are looking for additional helping hands to join our committee and volunteer teams.

Please see below information from a contractor engaged by Roadtek to complete asbestos removal works adjacent to the cricket grounds. I have been advised there should be no impact on the use of our tops nets and Nathan Hauritz Oval during these works. If this changes I will advise accordingly. Please see the below information provided by the contractor.

'As from the 8th June 2026 for a period of approximately 6 months, D & M Hose Pty Ltd ATF Hose Family Trust will be performing asbestos removal on the Booral and Boundary Road Intersection Upgrade.

We are an experienced, licenced contractor that holds an A Class Asbestos Prescribe Activity Statement: 2302505

Whilst we are onsite there will be air monitoring and water suppression conducted.

We will perform all work under the supervision of an Independent Hygienist.

All work will be performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety Regulations and Act, and Code of Practice – How to Safely Remove Asbestos 2021'

Happy Mother's day to all the mums. Thanks for all that you do at the club and the extra things to do for your kids so that they can play the sport they love.

Looking for two enthusiastic and energetic people to run the canteen for the coming 2026/27 season. It's a rewarding job and lots of fun. Without any volunteers the club will not have a working canteen. If you are interested, please reach out to me and I am more than happy to help you understand what's involved.
