📣WIND UP - IMPORTANT INFO - CHANGE OF VENUE

Hey members, I’m sure you’ve all seen the weather prediction for the weekend.

As a result we’ve taken the steps to change the location for Saturdays wind up just to be safe.

Please check Heja app for details.

Start and finish times will remain the same. There is an oval that the room opens out onto so if it’s not raining the kids can get outside and play.

🎉 New Equipment for Our Athletes! 🎉

We’re excited to share that High Wycombe Little Athletics Club was able to purchase some much-needed equipment this season to support our athletes, coaches and volunteers throughout the season.

With over 50 young athletes participating, this new equipment helped improve the safety, efficiency and enjoyment of our weekly training sessions. It meant more opportunities for our athletes to participate, develop their skills and continue building their love of athletics. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

This equipment was made possible through a $10,000 investment from the WA Government, supporting grassroots sport and community participation.

We are incredibly grateful for the support and look forward to seeing our athletes benefit from the new equipment for many seasons to come.

What a huge weekend at the WA State Junior Track & Field Championships – and we couldn’t be prouder of our senior athletes who stepped up and gave it everything on the big stage.

A massive congratulations to Olivia, Leo, Hannah, Sam, Charlie, Jake and Phoenix on representing our club and Belmont at the W.A. State Championships. Competing at this level takes dedication, resilience and courage and you all did us proud.

✨ Special congratulations to Olivia on an outstanding performance in the U18 Girls Discus — bringing home 🥉 Bronze with a massive 4m PB and qualifying for Nationals! An incredible achievement and so well deserved.

3 medals, 3 National Team & International Junior Team qualifiers and 2 PBs — simply outstanding!

⭐️⭐️ New Club Records ⭐️⭐️

Well we're four weeks in but the records have already been tumbling! 💪🏃⏱️

First up, we have a few inaugural events in play this year with some new throwing weights and hurdle distances. Well done to the following athletes, and perhaps we'll see these records be broken again through the season:

⭐ Charlotte Williams - U14 discus, 14.84m
⭐ Peyton Foster - U17 100m hurdles, 21.63sec
⭐ Charlie Schneider - U13 javelin, 25.67m

In Charlie's case it was also a win in the event, meaning it's the Belmont Centre Record as well - the first High Wycombe athlete to get a centre the record since (I think!) Jake back in 2020!

In other events:

⭐ Alicia Gardiner got the U11 Turbo record with 16.75m
⭐ Peyton Foster, in her first season, already has two records, adding the U17 javelin with a 27.85m throw

Finally, in a category of her own, Hallie Williams, who got records across five (!!) events last season, has picked up where she left off getting the following three records so far this season:

⭐ U12 high jump - 1.22m
⭐ U12 80m hurdles - 14.91sec
⭐ U12 triple jump - 7.67m

Thursday 2nd Oct: 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Monday 6th Oct: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Thursday 9th Oct: 5:00pm - 6:30pm

FIRST COMPETITION
Saturday 11th October
7:30am - Warm Up’s
8:00am - First Calls
