🏏 NEW SIGNING | HARRY GREGORY 🏏

High Wycombe Cricket Club is delighted to welcome Harry Gregory to the club for the 2026/27 season! 🔵⚪

Harry joins us from Grampound Road CC, where he plays in the Cornwall Premier League, while also representing the Cornwall CCC Development XI.

A genuine wicketkeeper and right-handed top-order batter, Harry will add plenty of quality to our batting line-up while also giving us a strong option behind the stumps.

Harry has been in excellent form this season, averaging just under 40 across all competitions. He has also produced some outstanding performances for Cornwall’s Development XI, including a highest score of 115* and an average of 91.5. 🔥

Now in his fifth season with Grampound Road, Harry has played an important role in helping the club return to the top flight. He comes to Wycombe with a reputation as a hard-working, composed and intelligent cricketer who can adapt his game to different match situations.

A massive thank you to Greg Neill at Provident Finance, who has come on board to sponsor Harry and will also be hosting Harry and his partner during their stay in Perth. Your support in helping us bring Harry to the club is hugely appreciated. 💙

We’d also like to thank Dave Sykes at Sykes Transport for generously offering Harry a vehicle to use during his stay. Support like this from people within and around our club makes bringing overseas players to High Wycombe possible.

Harry will be travelling to Perth with his partner, and both will be looking for part-time/casual work while they are here.

🏏 Exciting News for Our Community! 🏏

High Wycombe Cricket Club is proud to announce a new two-year shared-use agreement is about to begin with High Wycombe Primary School, giving our Stage 1 junior cricketers (Blasters through to Year 5) access to the school's oval and cricket training facilities.

This partnership has been made possible thanks to the incredible efforts of Kim, Kyra and Mason Clark, who successfully secured the grant via the Community Use of School Sporting Facilities (CUSSF) Program to replace the school's cricket nets and synthetic wicket. Their hard work has created a fantastic facility that will benefit both High Wycombe Primary School students and our local cricket community for years to come.

This agreement is about much more than having another place to train. It strengthens the connection between our club and local schools and opens the door to delivering community-focused cricket clinics, school programs and participation initiatives, helping even more local children discover and enjoy the game.

We're excited to kick things off this August, when we'll host our first event at the school—a three-week junior cricket program. It's the first of what we hope will be many opportunities to bring cricket directly into the heart of our local community.

The initial agreement will run for two years, with the opportunity to extend into the future, and we're excited about what this partnership can grow into.

We hope this is just the beginning. We'd love to work alongside other local schools to explore similar grant opportunities and shared-use partnerships that improve community sporting facilities while creating more opportunities for children to get involved in cricket.

A huge thank you to Kim, Kyra and Mason Clark for their vision and dedication, and to High Wycombe Primary School for embracing this partnership. Together, we're investing in local facilities, strengthening community connections, and creating more opportunities for the next generation of cricketers.

🏏 HWCC Junior Fielding Program & Have a Go Day 🏏

The countdown to the 2026/27 season is on, and we're excited to get our junior cricketers back on the field!

We're inviting all returning junior players in Year 4 and above to join us for three preseason fielding sessions to sharpen their skills before the season begins.

📅 Fridays 14, 21 & 28 August
🕟 4:30pm – 5:30pm
📍 High Wycombe Primary School

Each session will focus on:
🏏 Catching
🎯 Throwing
🙌 Ground fielding
⚡ Game scenarios

👥 Returning players (Year 4 and above) are encouraged to attend all three sessions.

Our Friday 28 August session will also be our Junior Have a Go Day. If you're in Year 4 or above and have ever wanted to try cricket, this is the perfect opportunity to come along and experience what our club is all about.

💙 Our experienced junior coaches, along with several of our senior players, will be on hand throughout the sessions to coach, mentor and support our junior cricketers. It's a great chance to learn new skills, build confidence and meet some of the people who make HWCC such a great club.
