Olivia Carter 🚨first came to me with one goal — to feel stronger, healthier and better in herself.
But like so many mums, life was already busy.
She has three kids under 11, runs her own business and manages a household, so finding more time to exercise wasn’t exactly easy.
The answer wasn’t to train every day or spend hours in the gym. We made her training and nutrition fit around her life — not the other way around.
We simplified everything:
• 2 × 30-minute strength sessions per week
• Daily walking and staying active
• Meal prep for lunch and dinner
• Healthy snacks that still taste like dessert from Shape Up Meal Prep
• Flexibility when family, work or life got busy
• Training and nutrition adjusted around her individual needs, strengths and hormonal stage
And most importantly, she stayed consistent.
Running a business is demanding. Raising three young kids is demanding. Managing a household is demanding.
There were plenty of reasons she could have said, “I just don’t have time.”
Instead, we found a realistic amount of time that she could give herself and made it work.
Over the last 10 years, I’ve heard the same thing from so many women:
“I used to do XYZ and my body would change… now it doesn’t.”
As we get older and life becomes busier, our bodies and circumstances change. The answer isn’t necessarily more HIIT, more cardio or trying to squeeze in workouts 7 days a week.
Train smarter. Build strength. Eat well. Walk daily. Stay consistent. And leave room to actually enjoy your life.
Olivia is proof that you don’t need endless hours in the gym to make progress.
You need a plan that works around your body, your family and your lifestyle — because the best program isn’t the one that takes over your life. It’s the one you can actually stick to.
