UPDATE #29 : Wednesday coaching game with u14s + 2 more

Dear all,

1/ WEDNESDAY COACHING GAME DETAILS

Who : u14s v u13s (T1) with coaches, Chris and James

What : coaching game friendly, 3 x ~15 min 'thirds', with possible periodic game interruptions for coaching.

Where : Sandown Park

When : 4.30pm - 6.00pm, Wednesday 27th (TOMORROW)

(4.30pm - warm up and tactical discussion and instructions, 5.00pm game commence. Finish by 6.00pm)

2/ SHORTS HAVE ARRIVED - SIZING ON WEDNESDAY

Our blue shorts have arrived. Socks are still on the way...

I have been given a bag of shorts for sizing, and once I have sizes, I will be given the shorts to distribute.

We will do sizing before the game on Wednesday.

3/ ACADEMY MESSENGER GROUP

To avoid potential miscommunication or just spamming the entire u13 squad with messages that are only relevant to the Academy, we have created an Academy 'sub-group' for Messenger chat and we will get the invites out over the next few days.

If you haven't received an invite within the next week, please let me know so that I may follow it up.

Dear all,

1./ TEAMS FOR THE WEEKEND POSTED

The YPL team has been posted to the YPL academy website on the 'Team' page.
There is no Div 2 game this weekend.

2./DEVONPORT CUP

Thank you to you all for responding so quickly. There was a lot of interest (11 yes, and 1 maybe), but not quite enough to confidently send a team this year.

It was a tough decision, but with people and teams still dropping from Covid, we decided that we don't want the kids and families to have a bad experience.

2. DIV 2 UPDATE FOR THE WEEKEND

The Div 2 game details can be found on the Welcome (Home) page of the U13 squad website

We have had a few families unavailable due to Covid (including mine), injury and other commitments, and we are not sure who is actually available for this game.

Could you please let Chris or I know as soon as possible (via whatever means is most convenient: text, Messenger, email etc) with regard to your child's availability for the game on Saturday.

UPDATE #21 : Change to training venue from next week +1

Dear all

1/ WINTER TRAINING VENUE & TIME

From next week our training venue moves to Soldiers Memorial for the winter season training. Additionally, the training time has been extended by 15 minutes.

Monday 4.30 to 6.00pm :: Soldiers Memorial Oval, Upper Domain Rd, Queens Domain.
Thursday 4.30 to 6.00pm :: The Crossroads, Upper Domain Rd, Queens Domain.

*Please note : The Crossroads and Soldiers Domain are essentially the same place. The Crossroads is the upper field.

2/ HEADS UP

And just a quick 'heads up' that a new OPTIONAL training night, at no additional cost is about to be announced for Wednesday nights.

Alex is just finalising the wording for the announcement, and I expect we will have it in the next day or so.
