Had a little helper with me today.
I’ve almost got UFO ready for her first test sail in a while after some quite a few little modifications.
I’m pumped to get out for a blast!

Well it’s been a slightly frustrating few months since the initial launch and test sail but I’m finally almost ready for a proper sail.
I have rented a workshop on the waterfront in Battery Point and have been lucky enough to secure a temporary spot for the boat right next to it.
After the last few months of having the boat on very exposed moorings and pulled up in various beaches it is a dream to have somewhere solids do secure to work on her!

A momentous day for the UFO!
After over 2 years work I got out for a trial sail with a slightly dodgy setup.
Huge thanks to Johnny, Ben and Dad for the help and Loz for putting on a little shindig and all the people who came down to watch.
Conditions were pretty much a millpond but enough to get her sailing at a surprising speed.
Now for the tweaking and I’ll be out in a bit more wind to see what she’s really capable of!
