This weekend was round 4 of the Tasmanian Circuit Racing Championship .

After playing with spring rates I set a PB in qualifying, finding myself 3rd in class.

Race 1 we got two laps before the safety car came out and stayed until the end.

Race two was fairly unremarkable finishing 3rd.

Race three I had a great start and moved up into 2nd putting several cars between myself and 3rd. Unfortunately a big crash behind took out the one of the Toyotas I was racing.

Race 4 I held position and finished the weekend P2. I feel I had the race craft to finish P2 on merit but due to the crash I was handed it.

Last weekend I contested the Symmons Plains 6 hour. Driving for Wheeler Racing the team consisted of Ian Wheeler, Omar Hasan and Myself.

We had a great start and were leading for the first hour. Unfortunately we dropped a number of places as the hours went by and the lapped traffic banked up. We ended 9th come the chequered flag but we have plenty of potential for a podium finish next year.

Next up TCRC round 4 at Baskerville.

Doing our best to be back to back 2wd champions 💪

The battle for the 2WD Championship is heating up! 🔥
After two rounds, Hamish Elliott and John Madigan lead the way on 100 points, putting together a consistently impressive campaign so far.

Their performances aren’t just shining in the 2WD field either. Hamish currently sits 9th outright in the drivers’ standings, while John is an impressive 8th outright in the co-drivers’ standings.

With a 26 point lead heading into the next round, they’re in a strong position, but with three rounds still to come, the fight for the 2WD Championship is far from over. It’s still anyone’s game! 👊

Last weekend we contested round 3 of the Tasmanian Circuit Racing Championship in the Improved Production Renault Clio.

Saturday:
I had a good run in Quali to set the 3rd quickest lap.

Race One I didn't quite have the pace to match the Toyotas and fell back to fourth.

Race two I had a good start but again fell back to fourth just lacking race pace.

Sunday:

Race three brought very damp conditions allowing the FWD Clio to shine finishing second while the 86s fell far behind.

Race four the hard charging 86 of Creed was determined to make amense after race three but the French hatchback held him off to finish P2.

Race Five was the final race of the weekend.

After a couple of laps I found myself in an 86 sandwich and held on for dear life as I was being ganged up on.
On lap three all three of us locked up at turn 6. I managed to just keep it on track while the two Toyotas sailed off into the outfield allowing me to hold onto P2.

A great weekend and thoroughly enjoyed mixing it with the big boys.

Massive thank you to the people who helped me get here.

An event that wasn't to be.

On transit to SS1 we bottomed out and took out the Exhaust flexy joint. On our way to SS2 we had the windscreen wipers fail. During SS2 we had a mishap and need help from the recovery crew to get us going again. Transiting to service the lights then gave out.

In wet, dark and muddy conditions we cut our losses and retired from the rally. Car's still in one piece and we'll be back for more gravel rally later in the year.
