We buy and sell second hand outdoor gear for hiking, camping, climbing, and traveling. Hobart. Some items will be Vintage and others current season stock.

I would like to introduce Recycled Recreation........
We are a locally owned, independent business, trading for over 17 years in Hobart. Initially we operated as a Pop-Up shop each summer, now we are OPEN ALL YEAR and are permanently located at 96 Elizabeth St. As a result of the permanent location and increased interest in de-cluttering, recycling and purchasing second hand, the shop is going from strength to strength! Each year we have a better range of items and still maintain an amazing through-put of new equipment each month. We stock mostly lightweight hiking gear rather than car-camping stuff, but even if you are not a hiker, it is always worth a look for good quality camping clothing, waterproof jackets, ski clothing, boots, wetsuits, climbing gear, books and maps etc. We take a considerable time to prepare (and possibly repair) equipment so that it is presented in a clean and functional condition, some items might be quite old others will be As New with tags (because the previous owner didn't use it)! We are not a charity shop, we buy equipment...you can sell to us too! Equipment ranges from basic to the most amazing high tech, and the price varies in accordingly. Our staff are all experienced bushwalkers in Tasmania, and can provide unbiased information to anyone, particularly those setting out for their first bushwalking forays into Tasmania's wild areas. We WON'T flog you just one brand, or the most expensive product! We WILL direct you to the most appropriate equipment and to another retailer if we don't have what you need or want. Just incase you missed our FBPost last week, The next GARAGE SALE fundraiser will be held on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November.
7.30am start each day, and finishing up at 3pm.
No prior sales, and strictly no entry before 7.30am

Address will be supplied late this coming week, when we know the weather etc.

If you have not been to one of these events, please note:
These events are busy 😆, we have fabulous support and an enthusiastic crowd of attendees, for which we are extremely grateful.
❤️ Card facilities are available, but cash is preferred, particularly if you would like to avoid the queue.

The equipment, gear and clothing is donated. We operate the sale with volunteers. Funds generated go to The Tasmanian Land Conservancy.

Many items will require repair or cleaning as they have been deemed unsuitable due to condition, for resale through our shop. However there are many items which are topend retail brands just not what we choose for Recycled Recreation, so come and find a bargain.😁 Prices start at $1, merino base layers are all $5 each.

Currently we have Boots, shoes, Sandals, tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, packs and bags, rainwear, skis and ski boots, down jackets, wetsuits, cooking gear, dive gear, kayak trolleys, baby carriers, general clothing, Merino base layers, knitwear, books general household items. Etc Etc

It is THAT time of the year AGAIN!

This is when we plan to hold the next GARAGE SALE!

We raise funds for The Tasmanian Land Conservancy and these sales are turning into another epic success story...and every time they get bigger 😁. It is time to let your friends know, our shed is nearly FULL AGAIN.

As always, we have dozens of tents, lots of camping chairs, skis and poles, hundreds possibly thousands of clothing items including rain jackets and Merino base layers, books, general household items and kitchen items, kids toys, plants, all sorts of odd stuff ...and no exaggeration 😆 over a hundred pairs of running shoes and hiking boots, sandals, climbing shoes etc. THERE IS SO MUCH MORE. Don't miss out.

Please Note: lots of gear at the Garage Sale will require maintenance/cleaning as many of these items have been deemed unsuitable for resale in our shop. At Recycled Recreation we often get asked this question, "Which days do you put out new stock, so I know when to visit?"
The answer is, "Almost everyday we put out new items". However there are some weeks when things go a bit wild 😜.
THIS WEEK IS A WILD WEEK.
