General Practice Training Tasmania (GPTT) provides innovative, best practice training to the highest national standards to develop outstanding GPs.

GPTTs Head Office is in Hobart, and while there is a state-wide approach to training, there are GP registrar and medical educator groups in sub-regions around Devonport, Launceston and Hobart. Training from GPTT is geared to individual needs and provides many exciting opportunities for its Registrars.

On Tuesday 24 January, 2023 a special gathering was held at GPTT. All staff (past and present) were invited to come together to celebrate some of the significant achievements of General Practice Training Tasmania over the past 21 years of operations.

Thank you all to our staff who have contributed to providing quality training to sustain and strengthen General Practice and Primary Health Care in Tasmania. We can all be very proud of all that has been achieved.

GPTT will conclude all GP training activities on 31 January 2023. From 1 February, if you have any queries regarding the AGPT program or GP education and training please contact either the RACGP or ACRRM.
