This years race had it all ⛵️💨
Lots of upwind sailing, navigational challenges and a belting once we got to Tasman Island. The early hours of 30th Dec, it was like being inside a gigantic washing machine. You couldn’t look into the wind, and at times we couldn’t see the bow of our own boat for all the spray and rain. With 45 knots at times, it was safer to be on deck than inside the boat with the erratic motion, hull slamming and violent wave action.
A true test of seamanship, may we all be inspired by the incredible sailors! 💪
Thank you to the entire rush family for all you do to allow this special yacht to send it south!

Rush and her delivery crew are just south of King Island over the past 24 they’ve sailed in a nice SSW breeze making good miles en route home because the conditions were favorable they spent the previous night relaxing on anchor in Port Davey located in the remote far southwest of Tasmania. The area is recognised as being of outstanding universal value and was, as part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA), inscribed by UNESCO on the World Heritage List in 1982.

Team RUSH Yachting have just passed Green Cape heading South and all seems well, if not a little slow going out there!
We hope the team has a stunning sunset going into Bass Strait this evening and 🤞🏻 for an uneventful crossing.
