🏆 Five days of outstanding competition at Boneo Park, Victoria, celebrated Australian dressage last weekend, from emerging young talent to the some of the country’s brightest combinations.

🌟 David McKinnon and Lea Rian stole the spotlight, claiming the Australian Grand Prix Championship after a stellar week that included wins in the Intermediate II, CDI-W Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle.

👏 Congratulations to all Australian Champions, medal winners and competitors across Open, Para Dressage, Pony, Small and Medium Tours, and the junior, young rider and Under 25 divisions.

The Championships highlighted the depth of talent and the bright future ahead of Australian dressage. A huge thank you to Boneo Park for hosting, our EA and AET officials, volunteers and supporters for delivering a fantastic competition.

| Meet Kylie Schooley, the volunteer behind much of Toowoomba Jump Club's growth 🐴

Vet, cattle producer and Eventing mum, Kylie regularly drives around four hours to support her club.

Since joining the committee five years ago, she's helped build more than 150 cross-country jumps, including a brand-new water jump, and seen eventing entries grow from 120 to over 200. Her goal is simple: make every event one riders leave saying it was well run and fun to be part of. 👏

Our new Behind the Bridle member series celebrates the people who make equestrian sport happen. Read her full story here: https://brnw.ch/21x6yOZ

Horse Wellbeing Webinar | Open to all members!

Equestrian NSW invites all Equestrian Australia members to join the second webinar in its Horse Wellbeing Series, featuring internationally recognised equine neuroscientist Dr Stephen Peters.

🗓️ Thursday 29 October 2026
⏰ 7.00pm AEDT

Explore how understanding the equine brain can inform training, performance and horse wellbeing. Attendance is FREE for all Equestrian Australia members.

Find out more and register here: https://www.trybooking.com/au/event/1646208

If you could ask Dr Stephen Peters one question about your horse's brain, what would it be?

Perhaps it is something you have noticed in training. A behaviour you don't quite understand. A question about fear, learning, memory, pressure, curiosity, regulation or the horse-human connection.

Dr Peters prefers to receive questions before his presentations so he has time to consider them as he prepares, and we would love some of those questions to come directly from you.

So this is your invitation: What would you like to understand better about the horse?

Leave your question below or send it to us privately, and we will bring your questions into our planning for Horse Brain Science on 29 October. Free for all Equestrian Australia members.

Because the best conversation may begin with the question you have been wondering about for years.

Two Athletes. One Future.
Equine Wellbeing • Performance • Longevity
