Been thinking about dusting off your old cricket boots?
The Pirates Masters (over 40s) team are looking to increase their roster of players and are holding a net session at Boronia Park on Sunday 27th Sept 1.30-3pm.
The Masters competition is played fortnightly on Sundays, 11 games in total.
It’s a 40-over per side format, starting from 12pm (usually ending about 5.30 if all overs are played).
If you’re thinking to yourself “I’ve not played in 20 years!” – don’t worry, that’s how most of the team started!
The team is in the second division, so aren’t playing against elite players, and often have tight and exciting games.
There’s a great social side with beers after the match, as well as an end-of -season pool comp, there’s a golf day and even a golf weekend away over winter for those interested.
So, if you’re tempted, why not come down for a net and meet some of the team.
If you don’t have any kit, they will have some pads and bats etc you can use.
