⚔️🏆 GLADIATOR WRESTLING – UNITED FOR WRESTLING! 🏆⚔️

What a fabulous day of wrestling!
105 competitors, a gold rush of medals for our Gladiators, hard-fought battles, lessons learned and invaluable experience gained!

Before the competition, we had three simple messages for our Gladiators:

🔥 BACK YOURSELF!
💪 TRUST YOUR TRAINING!
❤️ WRESTLE WITH JOY!

I'm incredibly proud of every one of our Gladiators today!

And a huge congratulations to every wrestler who competed, regardless of club or result.

We may wear different colours and battle each other on the mat, but we are so much more alike than we are different.

We share the same passion, the same sacrifices and the same love for this incredible sport.

Opponents on the mat, but united as one wrestling family.

A huge thank you to all the coaches, parents, volunteers, supporters and especially Wrestling WA for hosting this event and who made today possible.

⚔️ STRENGTH & HONOUR! ⚔️

🇦🇺 HISTORY MADE! ARASH AHMADI – WORLD SILVER MEDALIST! 🥈

After finishing 5th in the world in both 2024 and 2025, Arash Ahmadi returned to the 2026 Veteran World Wrestling Championships in Amman, Jordan, determined to make history.

Despite suffering a painful elbow injury during his Greco-Roman bronze medal match, Arash refused to give up.

He fought through the pain, defeated opponents from Italy and Russia, and battled Kazakhstan in an incredible World Championship final, narrowly missing gold by just one point, 6–5.

🥈 A historic silver medal and Australia's first World Championship wrestling medal!

To us at Gladiator Wrestling Club, Arash is more than a world-class athlete. He's a coach, mentor and inspiration who embodies courage, resilience and the Gladiator spirit.

💪 Want to learn from a world silver medallist? Join him on the mats every Wednesday at 7 PM, where he coaches our Greco-Roman wrestling class.

Congratulations, Arash. You've made your club and your country proud!

🇦🇺 VETERAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

– AMMAN, JORDAN 🇯🇴

This week, Carel Crous and Arash Ahmadi step onto the world stage at the Veteran World Championships in Amman, Jordan.

For Carel, this is a remarkable full-circle moment. As a 17-year-old, he represented his country at the Cadet World Championships and won a silver medal.

Now, all these years later, he returns to the World Championships—this time as a veteran and representing another country.

For Arash, it’s another opportunity on the world stage after an outstanding 5th-place finish at last year’s Veteran World Championships.

He comes into this year’s championships having also won the Australian National Championships in Senior Greco-Roman competition.

Different journeys.
Decades of wrestling.
But still with that same burning desire to test themselves against the world’s best. That fire never leaves a wrestler.

Enjoy the moment, trust your wrestling and represent with pride.

Everyone at Gladiator Wrestling is incredibly proud of you both and will be following every match from back home.

⚔️ STRENGTH & HONOUR ⚔️

Go get ’em, Gladiators! 🇦🇺🔥
