Six Norths teams are taking the field, all fighting for their chance to book a spot in the GRAND FINAL! ❤️

From our Div 3s kicking things off in the morning right through to our Div 1 Women closing out the day, it’s going to be a HUGE day of Devils hockey.

After a nail biting, edge of the seat game yesterday, the J1 won in the last second to secure their place in the GF next weekend. Well done boys!!!!

Well, can I just say what an incredible display of courage, determination, and character I witnessed from the J2 boys today.

Playing for a place in the Grand Final is pressure enough, but these young men took the field with only 10 players on a warm morning and somehow found a way to keep pushing, fighting, and believing for the entire 70 minutes. Not once did they drop their heads. Not once did they stop competing.

To the parents of these players, I know you will be be immensely proud. Today wasn't just a display of hockey skills, it was a display of resilience, sportsmanship, teamwork, and heart. The character these boys showed out on that field is a reflection of the values being instilled in them away from it.

It was genuinely inspiring to watch them seize every opportunity, work tirelessly in defence, and refuse to give in, even when the odds were stacked against them. With just one minute remaining, they conceded the goal that ultimately ended their Grand Final hopes. Many teams would have been shattered. Many would have accepted the result. But not these boys. They immediately regrouped, charged back into the contest, and earned a short corner almost straight away.

That moment alone summed up everything they are about.

I completely understand if they're feeling disappointed right now. That's a natural part of caring so deeply and giving so much. But from the sidelines, what I saw was something far greater than the result on the scoreboard. I saw a group of young men who represented their club with pride, courage, and unwavering determination.

To say I was impressed would be an understatement. I am incredibly proud to have these boys representing our club, and they should hold their heads high knowing they earned the respect and admiration of everyone who watched them play today.

Congratulations to Ethan and Jacob as well.
