Our first splash at Chandler for the long course season, with our swimmers out to set the benchmark for the season to come. And what a benchmark they set!

Huge thanks to our swimmers, parents and coaches for a big weekend on the pool deck. It was great to see so much support and cheering from start to finish.

With 24 swimmers Β· 87 swims Β· 54 PBs Β· 16 new qualifying times, we couldn't be prouder!

Huge congratulations to Olivia and Charlie, who took on the state's best at the Queensland Open Water Championships at Coolum last weekend and came home with podium finishes.

The Australian Short Course Championships kick off today at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, home of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. 🏊

Four days of racing against the country's best, and IGSC has four swimmers across six events. From our 13-year-old Multi Class star to our 41-year-old breaststroke sprinter, this team proves there is no single path to the national stage. πŸ”΄βšͺ

Membership is open for Juniors through to Masters, so come along and enjoy a fun, casual family night suitable for all levels, from beginner to masters. If your swimmer can swim 12m independently, they can swim with us!

What a day. Our first target meet of the long course season, a home meet and it was an amazing day of racing, fun and friendship.

Hot on the pool deck yesterday, but our swimmers, parents and committee made it a great one from start to finish. Huge thanks to everyone who turned up, helped out and cheered on, carnivals like this don't run without you.

Thanks also to all our visiting clubs for coming along, over 300 swimmers it was so great to see so many happy faces! And of course to our tech officials Sue, Sharon and Andrew we couldn’t do it without you!

With 66 swimmers Β· 242 swims Β· 155 PBs and 125 podium finishes we couldn’t be prouder of our swimmers today, congratulations to all our medallists!

Thirteen IGSC swimmers took on the Brisbane Open Water Champs at Coolum this weekend, and what a day they gave us.

A huge congratulations to Olivia, Harry, Charlie, Keira, Lachlan, Zac, Xavier, Ollie, Bernie, Lizzie and Oliver S, who either raced open water for the very first time or stepped up to a bigger distance than they had ever swum before. No lane ropes, no black line, no walls to push off. Just open water and a lot of self belief. That takes real guts, and every one of them backed themselves and got it done.

Special mention to Charlie and Ollie, who both achieved national qualifying times in their first ever 5km event. An absolutely phenomenal achievement and a reward for the work they have put in.
