Last Friday, a beautiful Celebration of Life was held at Brothers for Ipswich Brothers Old Boys & Supporters President, James McGill.

Sadly, James passed away at home from a heart attack. He was the driving force behind many memorable raffles and fundraisers through the Brothers Ipswich Old Boys, always bringing people together for a great cause and a good time.

It only felt right to hold one final raffle in James’ honour. 💙

With the incredible support of Wilko from Blackall Street Butchery Ipswich and Darrell & Jarrelle from D.J's Sensational Seafood, the Old Boys raised an outstanding $5,200 on James’ behalf.

At the request of James’ family, these funds will be donated to Heart Research Australia Foundation to help raise awareness and support vital research with the hope of helping other families facing similar heartbreak.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and showed their support. James’ legacy of generosity and community spirit will live on at Brothers. 🤍

Well I’m thinking we sent James off with a blast that has not been seen in my lifetime, and many others. Good thing we will be donating around $5,200.00 to the Heart Foundation . Thank you to all who came to see the Captain off.
