It’s end of warehouse summer t20 season 2021-2022 as the semifinals and final are CANCELLED due to wet weather and ground condition. It’s a tragic end for the brothers. Though lost in only one group match and two were drawn due to Covid and rain brothers were pumped up for the semifinal. But ended in a most unexpected way.

We will be back on field from 8th May starting the winter 50 over comp.

Regardless of what happens end of the season it was a delight to see brothers on song again.

After being asked to field by the opposition, the Brothers were in a contest with the highest scorer till date in the comp who went off to a flyer, but the Brothers soon discovered a c***k in his armour. Tahseen immediately exploited this and sent his stumps cartwheeling with his first ball to him. Tahseen always has a knack of picking up the big guns when it matters. However, this was Tahseen’s day as he set the tone for the rest of the game. Tahseen bowled with considerable heat and the ball was directed at either the nose or the toes of the batsmen. The slips cordon enjoyed listening to the ball thud into the keeper’s gloves at chest height. By the end of his first spell Tahseen picked up three wickets. Maxi then picked up from where Tahseen had left off and claimed a wicket with his first ball. Yaseer, Salman and Shadid chipped in with wickets to follow suit. In his second spell Tahseen bowled with the same heat and thanks to a sharp catch by Rumman at short mid-wicket claimed his first fifer. The opposition were rolled over for 149 setting a target of 150.
The Brothers could not have asked for a better start with Shadid and new recruit Mamun flaying the attack to all parts of the ground to put up a quick fire 60-run opening partnership. Tahseen was promoted up the order as a pinch hitter. Shadid was unfortunate to miss out on a well-deserved half century. Rumman then joined Sayem, and the two went about chasing the total with clinical fashion. Sayem was at his best playing his favourite cut shot and kept the scoreboard ticking. After Sayem’s dismissal Maxi strode in and soon pulled one to square leg for a boundary. Rumman then went on the attack with a few l***y boundaries and a six to finish off proceedings with 21 overs to spare.
After a somewhat slow start to the comp, the Brothers are back to what they do best, playing an aggressive brand of cricket. Looking forward to the next encounter.

For the first time ever witnessed emergency rescue of an island resident by helicopter which had to pause the game since the ground was the emergency landing pad for paramedics. Our thoughts and prayer for the affected and their family and we hope he/she recovers soon.

And the good news is Brothers have won the game by 7 wickets though a lot of top order batting improvements to be done. Bowling was of top notch.
