As I write this post today, it's with a mixture of gratitude and emotion that I say farewell to a place—and a community—that has meant so much to me. Ipswich Golf Club isn’t just a course; it’s a home away from home. It’s where friendships are forged over birdies and bogeys, and where the spirit of the game is lived out in its truest form.

Whether it was the crisp early morning tee-offs, the heated matches that went down to the 18th, or simply the laughter over a well-earned drink in the clubhouse, every moment spent here has left an imprint on me. What makes this club so special isn’t just the greens or the heritage—it’s all of you.

To the members, thank you for your camaraderie, sportsmanship, and good humour. To Cam & Geen's staff, thank you for your tireless work in keeping this club running with such professionalism and care. And to all those who’ve shared a joke & laughter—thank you for the memories, the challenges, and the good-natured ribbing.

As I move on, please know that I carry with me the countless moments of joy, learning, and friendship that I found right here.

This isn't goodbye forever—just a new chapter. I’ll always be cheering on Ipswich Golf Club, and I hope to return as a guest now and then, to walk these familiar fairways once more.

So until we meet again, play well, enjoy every round, and always check in at the club & fix your pitch marks!

What a brilliant day we had on Saturday for the Club Championship!

A big thank you to Angel Bay for supplying the delicious burger patties — they were a hit!

This is a great article about one of our long-serving members. At the age of 92, Mr. Roche is a true inspiration — his dedication, passion for the golf, and long-standing contribution to the club are nothing short of remarkable.
