September trials now open on Top Dog Events

In September, we will offer a NTC (Non Titling Class) for Veteran dogs when Advanced classes are offered.

The reason behind this decision is as dogs age the height requirement in Excellent and above may prove difficult for our older dogs.

Conditions
• Dogs need to be at least 7 years of age at the date of the trial
• Elements on offer will be Interiors, Exteriors and Vehicles
• The cost of the class remains the same as titling classes
• Dogs must meet the eligibility requirements of the Advanced Class
• Dogs cannot compete in that element in a higher class at that trial if entered in Veterans NTC but may compete in any other class
• The class runs immediately after the Advanced Class
• The same handler may enter this class with a second eligible dog in addition to their Advanced entry
• If the Advanced class goes to ballot, this class would be balloted first. If a competitor is balloted out, this does not count as their one ballot per year
• Qualifying certificates are not awarded
• Ribbons are issued
• All official records show as NQ

Due to a change of circumstance, Masters Exteriors at the upcoming trial on the 26th July will now be judged by Tracey O'Neil.

For those who like to plan ahead, Easter falls at the end of March next year. Under Dogs West regulations, this would require us to run night trials over the Easter weekend which is not practical with the amount of classes we wish to hold.

As a result, the club has decided to schedule three days of Scent Work trials over the ANZAC Day weekend instead – Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th and Monday 26th April 2027.
